KidsPlay, a non-profit supporting underprivileged youth, proudly supports Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada. This day serves as a reminder of the historical injustices faced by Indigenous communities and the need for healing and education.

By acknowledging the past, KidsPlay promotes inclusivity and respect for all cultures. We encourage young people to be part of the journey toward reconciliation, fostering understanding, empathy, and a brighter, more equitable future for everyone.

NextGen Foundation is a not for profit organization and their goal is to hold charitable initiatives while connecting the community through various activities and educational forums. Their mission is to provide a healthy and safe place for members of the community and youth.

Their first event took place in August of 2024 which was a bottle drive. During this event they collected recyclables. The total they raised was donated to 3 different non-profit organizations working to make a change in the community. These organizations included KidsPlay Foundation, Canadian Red Cross, and Sarbat Da Bhala Foundation.

From KidsPlay, thank you NextGen for your generous contribution to our youth programs.

Our founder, Kal Dosanjh, had the remarkable privilege of representing KidsPlay Foundation as a keynote speaker at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna in Austria, for a Youth Leadership Conference, hosted by Voice for Rights International Association.

He was honoured to be selected and serve amongst a panel of experts from around the world, which included captains of industry, military leaders, university professors, to diplomatic ambassadors. We presented to over 50 students selected from around the world to partake in the conference. The countries ranged from Central Europe, South East Asia, Africa and North America.

Part of this conference entailed spending time at the United Nations Building in Vienna, and experiencing UNODC in action (The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime). The UNODC is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime. The role of community programs as part of early childhood development aimed at keeping youth away from drugs, gangs and crime cannot be understated.

The success of the Kidsplay Foundation programs around the world has been noted, and will now be expanded to include more nations. We are proud to be a part of the journey in helping shape the lives and thinking of local youth, and now cultivating youth leaders around the world.

KidsPlay Foundation is thrilled to announce the first ever Angela Arora Golf Classic! Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of golf on September 15 at The Hills At Portal Golf Club, as we raise funds to support our free youth programs. We are grateful to our partners for their support in making this event possible.

Angela Arora’s golf journey began at age five when her dad introduced her to the sport. She fell in love with the game and quickly became competitive, challenging her dad in putting contests. At 10, Angela attended the CP Women’s Open, where her idol, Lexi Thompson, inspired her dream of playing professionally. Lexi’s gift of a signed glove further ignited her passion for golf. Angela's determination led her to compete in junior tournaments, winning her first provincial championship at 13. By 15, she earned a spot on Team Canada. Today, Angela plays NCAA Division 1 golf at the University of Tennessee and continues her pursuit of an LPGA Tour career.

Through this fundraiser, Angela aims to give back to her community by supporting KidsPlay Foundation's mission to support youth through sports. Her goal is to inspire the next generation of athletes by creating opportunities for our youth to experience the same joy and discipline golf has given her.

The Back to School Event was a testament to the power of the village. Multiple organizations from the community came together for one common purpose - to provide underserved youth with the supplies and resources they will need to thrive during the school year. Many thanks to Harvey Kooner for his outstanding efforts in organizing this event.

Many of the youth participate year around in the Kids Play programs. We have seen these children flourish when they are provided vital support. It is important that we cultivate and foster positive early childhood development through healthy constructive outlets. We are proud of everyone that made this event possible. The children left the event happy, and the parents left the event with hope.

It takes a village.

“You don’t know what you have, until it’s gone” -

Teaching youth about the value of appreciating our surrounding nature is critical to the health of our planet. Part of this responsibility entails maintaining delicate ecosystems, and creating sustainable environments.

KidsPlay Foundation volunteers have planted over 10,000 trees, plants and shrubs around the world. When this generation plants trees alongside the next, they cultivate not just forests, but a legacy of unity and hope for a greener future.

The passion of our volunteers to serve the community unconditionally is immeasurable. Every child around the world deserves an equal opportunity at success, regardless of caste, creed, ethnicity, gender, religion, or socioeconomic status.
