Just Call Grandma

I had such a fun afternoon and evening with these two little people. We did some Christmas crafts, had some play time together, had supper together and read lots and lots of books. Such a joy when you can laugh with a child.

When you dont want to stay for the movie at Kin Kanyon's Sunset Cinema but you dont want to miss out on the pre-movie fun, JUST CALL GRANDMA. Dain and I spent two hours here tonight and It made my heart sing to watch him play with so many kids he didn't even know. Look at the color in his cheeks. He played hard. We will be back next week, weather permitting. We might see YOU there.

Hope, Damon and I went to the library this morning to exchange books and we spent two full hours there. The library has so much more than just books. Hope did a puppet show for some little people, Damon built wooden puzzles, we browsed through the library to choose our books, we read stories and then went out to the beautiful City Hall gardens. A perfect way to end the week.

Its Parade Day.

We are starting our evening off together playing with play dough and ponies. What do you think of our playdough family and their pets? Katelynn and I think they kind of look like aliens. LOL.

It was a fun weekend with little Katelynn. We did it up good!!! We had lots of outside time, spent some time at my home, went to the park with Snowball, went sledding, had a popcorn and movie party, went to McDonalds and played with an endless amount of other children, had some quiet time, lots of bedtime stories, good sleeps, played Snap (card game), play time with her dog Chewy, and before we knew it our weekend came to an end. So much fun. And Katelynn was a little princess. This is what keeps this grandma young.

I spent the evening with this little guy, Dain, and his parents at his school Christmas concert tonight. It was fun watching all the little ones sing their hearts out. And it is a beautiful way to get into the Christmas spirit. Thank you for inviting me Alison, Jeff and Dain. I love you all!!!

See this cute little boy? He brought his mommy and daddy back to Red Deer for a visit. And guess who got to spend the evening with him on Monday night? Yuppers. That's right. Me! I call him my Apple Strudel because he is just so sweet. 💙

It is a little chilly outside but so warm inside, playing ponies with this little cutie pie. A fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Snowball is spending her birthday with Kort and Keigan. She absolutely loves her grooming from Keigan.

I am loving my evening with Kort and Snowball. And oh yah, drinking tea. Doing what this grandma does best.

Our evening topped off with a crazy wind storm that took down two big trees in the park. We were ushered into the concrete washrooms with 14 other people to keep safe until the wind passed through. Parks and rec were there to make sure everyone was safe. All is good.

This very special little boy had a sleepover last night. I asked him what he wanted to play and he said " I know. Let's pretend you are the grandma and I am the grandson." As my heart was bursting I said, "Yes Dain, we can play that for a very, very, long time." Before we left to take him home this morning he wound up a music box for Snowball so she wouldn't be sad when he left. I love this kid!!!!
