Not sure who needs to read this…but I sure did. And it really hit home.
We can get caught up in our egos. Thinking we are less of a person for not being happy in a relationship, a job, a family is ridiculous. How long to you keep trying?
I have been thinking about this a lot lately. What makes me happy? What makes me sad? How do I move past an expectation of “happiness”.
It’s hard to let go when you have worked so hard to BE HAPPY with a person/job/family member but trust me when I say, “you deserve to have peace in your life”. Sometimes we need to take a step back and reframe our thoughts and re-evaluate our expectations. In fact, when you have expectations, you are asking for disappointment.
Every day I have to remember to Live for Today and focus on what is good in my life, what I can control and what lights my fire and not dim it.
If you read my last post, I am on my final nightshift and I get so emotional but I also have the opportunity to think. A LOT. Which is not always a good thing 😳😂 but it reminds me that I can only control MY reactions.
So, today I gently remind you, to be true to yourself and take the time to figure out what makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning!
Saturday selfie. About to head to my 4th nightshift. Do you work shift work? It’s not easy 🤷🏼♀️ lack of sleep. Lack of energy. How do you handle it? I get so emotional when I don’t get enough sleep. I would love to hear some tips!!
Happy Tuesday! I don’t know who needs to read this but…Breathe! Deep breaths. What is happening in the moment will pass. Don’t fight it. Appreciate the lesson and be in the moment. There is no amount of worry that will help you.

Sunday Fun Day!! Feels so good to get outside!! Getting fresh air and exercise is priceless. I also met a handsome man on the hike. He’s my “forever” I think. It’s or haha I love getting my workout done in the morning 💪🏻 it feels so good!!
When do you prefer to workout? Do you workout? No? What’s holding you back? What do you consider a workout? Perhaps it’s not what you think it is!! it doesn’t have to be in a gym. It can be increasing how often you get up. It can be increasing your step goal every day!! You can maximize your efforts with simple changes and some amazing supplements that increase muscle mass, blast belly fat, give you a burst of energy!!
I kind of love this. There are a few variables but I strive to be better every day! I have some issues with confidence but I do love thinking I am pretty awesome. Do you ever wonder what people think about you? Do you care? I know I shouldn’t but it is a thing 🤷🏼♀️ hard to imagine I am 52 and still searching for the right “one”. The more I grow and evolve the more I want to be better. 😂 my standards are higher now. I deserve . You do too!!!

Many of us are still recovering from the holiday snacks and drinks. I thought this would be a great reminder today!! 5 tips for getting back on track!
1. Drink warm water with lemon upon waking. No coffee or tea for 10 minutes.
2. Move your body. Get a minimum of 7500 steps per day and increase every day!
3. Stick to whole foods. Not packaged.
4. Drink half your body weight in ounces.
5. Get an appropriate amount of sleep. Not everyone needs a full eight hours. Judge what you need and adjust accordingly ❤️

I ate a lot of crap these past few months. I drank a LOT of wine and I am not proud of it. I could sit here and beat myself up. I could wallow in self pity for all the pounds and inches I have gained over the past 2 months but I refuse!! Every pound and inch is a reminder that I truly enjoyed my family and friends over the holidays. Reminds me that I have money for food and alcohol. I am grateful that I have friends and family that still love me with extra pounds. I am even more grateful that I have worked so hard on my mental health, that these extra pounds aren’t throwing me into a downward spiral. I still love myself for all the work I have done and that I get to wake up every day and get back on track!!

Happy New Year to all my friends and family!!
As I look back over the past year, I am reminded of how important our mental health really is!
This has been such a roller coaster of a year. From Covid, to disastrous wild fires (including smoke), to floods and freezing temperatures and now Omicron 😩it’s no wonder we are all walking around in a daze 😵💫
Personally this has been a year of anxiety, stress and a variety of unexpected feelings.
I am so grateful to have so many avenues of support, I know that not everyone has the opportunity to focus on themselves and work on my own mental and physical health. ❤️
I encourage you to reach out to professionals or volunteers for support. It’s way easier to have someone in your corner.
Here’s the thing. There are only a few things that bring us true happiness ❤️ it’s not money 🤷🏼♀️🤦♀️I know that we all want it. It can definitely make things easier. BUT… what is the best??? Connection. Banter. Differences. Diversity. What makes us different makes us live!!

Wow!! 52! I can’t believe it! I don’t FEEL 52! I am so grateful I have my health, my amazing family and friends and oh yeah…my new car 🤣 I hate to beat a dead horse but…I think it really has so much to do with my My hair grows like a w**d, my nails are strong and healthy (not my cuticles but 🤷🏼♀️), my deep wrinkles are not so deep, my joints are well lubricated and muscles and tendons are juicy and strong!! 😂😂 bring on 2022!I can’t even!

I am so grateful for my friends and family I can’t even believe how fortunate I am for this life. I have spent so much time worrying about what other people think of me, I quite possibly took my close friends and family for granted. You see, it’s not the size of your friends/family it is the quality and the unrelenting love and care they provide. Sometimes it’s tough love we need. The truth. Today I am thankful for the truth bombs that keep me striving to be better. ❤️
