It’s that time of year when we get our first shipments of yarn back from Canadian mills. Yarn…did you know alpaca fleece is classified into 22 glorious natural colours? No need for dying the yarn when it comes back from the mills. All of our yarn is made from the very best alpaca fleece and you can tell by the hand-feel. Nothing beats alpaca!

During inclement weather events (thunderstorms predicted today) or hot humid days - the farm & shop may be closed for the safety of the animals and visitors. The alpaca and horses tend to seek shelter and are not visible from fence-lines during such weather events….

When we say we’re getting ready to welcome you back for the summer season it includes the final chapter in the old barn renovation. A new roof over the workshop & studio space. The alpaca have been watching all the work with approval. Farm and shop open for the season May 18.

We are thrilled to have Rachael Speirs with us in PEC this weekend! Our workshop today is sold out but please - Join us at the Annex for an artist talk on Sunday and to view the exhibition during the month of May.

We’re getting ready to welcome you back to the farm for in-person visits starting Saturday May 18th. You will notice something new this year! We asked Susan Smythe Bishop - a former PR executive with Touchwood PR, a closet cartoonist, and an award-winning cake designer who along with her husband Tim are residents of Prince Edward County. If your a PEC resident you will know Susan is a HUGE supporter of the community in so many ways - and with her unique style captures local personalities with her one-of-a-kind cartoons. Be sure to check-out all her work on our new signage and QR code program - making your visits to our farm an even more enjoyable experience!
