The Student Association for the Masters of Politics and Public Administration (SAMPA) coordinates the educational and social functions for MPA and MA students at the Universities of Manitoba and Winnipeg.

Summer Employment Opportunities & Ontario Internship Program Info Session 11/01/2023

The OPS has organized a winter virtual information session to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to learn more about the student and internship programs. The session will highlight the key eligibility requirements of Summer Employment Oppurtunities and Ontario Internship Programs, the benefits of working for the OPS, the types of jobs available, recruitment processes, timelines, tips for the applications and interview process and live testimonials from past participants. The session will conclude with a question and answer period with our program coordinators!

Every year for the last 4 years, winning students and Dr Andrea Charron, the Director at the Center for Defence and Security Studies ( CDSS) and an Associate Professor, Political Studies at the University of Manitoba have ran a tutorial on how to apply for the MA JOSEPH-ARMAND BOMBARDIER CANADA GRADATE SCHOLARSHIPS.
It is open to all Faculty of Arts Students. There has been amazing results in terms of increasing the success rate of student applications.
The tutorial is in person delivered by Bombardier winners Jay Dion and Pat McBurnie and Dr Andrea Charron. It is appropriate for all SSRHC-related disciplines.

The tutorial is on October 6, from 1:30pm- 2:30pm at the University College Room 204 ( by the Great Hall) in the University of Manitoba

Hello everyone! SAMPA has decided to postpone the Graduation event. As our province opens up slowly, we are hoping that we can deliver an in person event to celebrate our 2021 grads. Please stay tuned for further details and we hope to see you soon (for real for real).

SAMPA is inviting you to celebrate all of the accomplishments of the 2021 MPA graduating class on Friday, June 25, at 6:30 PM. SAMPA will be hosting a virtual celebration to allow faculty members, current students, and graduates to informally connect and share congratulations.
