Déjà vu 🦋

Introducing our son, Grey.

For the second time, we are so lucky to be parents, through adoption. It’s an honour and a blessing to be chosen again. Big sister Sophia is already protective and loves her baby brother so much!

We are forever grateful to Grey’s birth parents for making an adoption plan and choosing us to be his parents.

Welcome Home Grey
Born 9lbs. 15oz. on 07.04.21

Happy Birthday to our adventure loving Sophia!

🦓 A Story in Contrast (In progress)

Textures | Styles | Colours

Contrasting to bring interest to the space. Traditional windows honour our 1930’s home, modern upholstery suits our tastes, bold fabrics and glam lights paired with raw wood beams for a striking balance.

Up up and away 🎈

Look up! The ceiling is a great space to add a whimsical detail through paint, wallpaper or decals. This nursery started as a blank box... we added wall trim, wallpaper, ceiling decals, a radiator cover and a new light before decorating the room for this little lad. 🐘

Happy St.Patrick’s Day! 🍀

Still one of my favourite wallpapers - inspired by all the places we want to travel to. Ireland is one of the places on our list to celebrate our daughters heritage. Where are you going first?

The wild card.

I like every room to have a little something fun or unexpected. The space is very neutral and there’s always room for a little quirk. When I realized we would have unused space behind the toilet wall, I wanted to add a hidden medicine cabinet behind a custom piece of art.

beautifully brought my vision to life.

🦩 Sunday hideout.

One of my favourite childhood memories is playing in small forts, imagining it was my own home! It looked more like a sheet on a table or a closet - but this version is much cosier. 🛌

🌊 Making waves.

We designed this nursery almost 5 years ago with a neutral “Australian” vibe in mind. With a few changes, now this room belongs to her little brother!

Hobbies. 🧵

Sewing again has helped my sanity. Honestly I haven’t had many hobbies over the years. Being a mom and working has taken most of my time but I’m realizing how important other outlets are for happiness. Would love to learn about more hobbies- what are yours?

Pillow mood. 🐍

Quarantine sewing has been my jam. I didn’t sew for several years and needed a creative outlet at home so I didn’t go stir crazy!

Double take. 🛁

Both our bathrooms will now complement each other with contrasting colours and scale. The basement bathroom will have large marble tiles on the walls and a neutral floor in the same cube mosaic. I love that they feel similar but are each unique - with a more traditional main bath and modern basement bath.
