Dear friends,
As you discover this project, please spread the word, especially among new immigrants to Canada (or the USA, or anywhere for that matter), to whom you could explain that their story of hardship, and encounters with acts of kindness, are stories that need to be told. In a time of strife, food and water shortages, disease, and discrimination, we need to tell the good stories of the acts of intercultural, interfaith, and intergenerational kindness that occur every day. I appreciate your helping me to realize this project, which I will build slowly over the coming months, and possibly years, until the full picture emerges, and we have a proper, evening-length show. Here is a link to the video of the opening section of the music: https://youtu.be/HwCGx7CWbV8
Call for Participation to anyone with a story of a random act of kindness. Your story may be selected to become part of my large project called UNITY SONGS. Only 10 spots available.
I am looking for a short recording of your story, 30-60 seconds long. This can be a short story (narration) or poem in which you tell a story of a random act of kindness when facing hardship. I am especially interested in your story if you have helped someone, or have been helped by someone outside your everyday cultural, religious, economic, gender, age, or political affiliation group. This call is for anyone who believes in, and participates in, inter-cultural dialogue and unity. Your story may be in any language, though priority will be given to English, Français, Espagñol, Mandarin, Cantonese, and all First Nations' languages of Canada.
