The clay is Andrea’s language, it comes to life through her love of all that is natural around her: the birds lo Lions Bay, the eternal rocks, the beauty in worn metal, the exposed geology of Howe Sound, and the romance of the Sea to Sky Highway.

Recalling the purity in design of Japanese tatami mats, this tight, flat weave is elegant in its simplicity. A blend of hand and mill-spun jute is softened by a subtle wool weft into beautiful vertical lines and finished with an immaculate turnover.

Fall is here and art, design and home interiors all seem to be top of mind.

Western Living had its Designers of the Year celebration recently. The Vancouver Design Festival kicked off last week with some great events in the Armoury District and around the city. IDS starts this Thursday night with its big opening night party, followed by the show on the weekend which draws design professionals and design lovers from near and far.

With all this happening, it does make me feel privileged to be a part of this vibrant design community. It’s always so rewarding to connect and collaborate with our amazing makers, designers, clients and friends.

At Provide, I feel grateful to work alongside a group of amazing people who’s commitment and expertise continually amaze me. Thank you Deanna, Carly, Melissa, Paulina, Linda and Carolina!
