All events have a festival feel and include an expo, kids’ fun run, entertainment, and great commemorative clothing, all centered around a phenomenal triathlon experience. IRONMAN Western Canada kicks off with Canada’s first open water triathlon in picturesque Shawnigan Lake, featuring the Trans Canada Trail and the beautiful west coast rainforests of Vancouver Island. Second to the line is the newly branded Saunders Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Victoria and Sprint Triathlon, held on the edge of exquisite Victoria at Elk Lake. Next up is the Subaru Saskatoon Triathlon, featuring Saskatoon’s lovely downtown River Valley and set in the middle of the famous Saskatoon Jazz Festival. Vancouver plays host to the forth stop in July, set against the Spanish Banks Beaches and framed by the city skyline and panoramic North Shore Mountains. Then it is off to the Coastal Mountains for Subaru IRONMAN Canada Whistler; one of the most stunningly beautiful IRONMAN courses on the planet. And finally, it’s off to the Rocky Mountains for more awe-inspiring mountain vistas at the Subaru Banff Triathlon, where participants will swim in pristine Two Jack Lake, cycle through Banff National Park on the gorgeous Lake Minnewanka Scenic Drive loop and run through the town of Banff.
