We’ve been Doing it Naturally
for 14 years, for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons is what you put on your skin, you absorb into your body for your organs to process.

⚠️ Did you know they are finding micro plastics not only in our oceans & water ways, but they’ve also discovered micro-plastics now in our baby’s placentas & in breast milk? We’re absorbing it in so many ways, but for sure one of the ways in though our skin.

Don’t ever let anyone convince you not to care about Motger Earth. She holds everything we need. All the medicine of the Earth in her full glory, right at our finger tips. Especially Summer: good for the mind, body & soul. A time to slow down to the pace of nature in elongated days, it just feels relaxing how time bends in the summertime. Smell all of the flowers at their peak, ensuring their seeds are sewn for the year to follow. Beach days, getting lost in the forest & finding yourself again. Basking in the warm glow of all the beautiful sunsets. Dancing into dusk to dawn. Take it all in. Soak it up with all your senses & bottle it for later when the soul needs it most.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, we are taught about endocrine disrupters in school. Essentially inorganic substances in our environment that affect our endocrine system - so think thyroid function to ovarian function.

While we talk about what is in your food, water and skin products that can contain toxicants that are endocrine disruptors, I had absolutely never thought about clothing being part of the equation.

When you see clothing, particularly work our gear, say “made from 90% recycled plastic” - guess what you are sweating in. And guess what your largest organ is absorbing? Your skin is absorbing what is in the material you are sweating in…..

Downtown Betty has my attention. They have been making clean clothing for years.

We find that there’s few things more nurturing than taking time to care for self through the practice of yoga.

It’s a great teacher of the present moment, moving through a wide range of emotions and honouring all of them - no running or hiding, just breathing deeply, feeling it all and deepening the relationship with self.

When we show up to our mats to practice we show up for ourselves. Yoga is a guide on how to be authentic and thoughtful. A lesson in humility.

We believe that having a yoga practice is a personal way of telling yourself ‘I love you and I’m here for you’.

The sweetest part is that we do this in community, all on our own journey but never alone.
