I’m betting on us

The last time I wrote a blog post was in 2022, but last year was one of my busiest years. I got married last October and over-engineered everything.

I wrote an article covering everything from designing a consistent brand to crafting invitations and signage to building a custom RSVP system and jukebox app from scratch. It’s a little long, but it’s worth reading if you love to see the thought processes behind the work (or the pretty pictures if that’s more your speed).

2023. I married the love of my life surrounded by friends and family, got 8 more tattoos (sorry mom), had a few tornado watches, unplugged from work for the month of August, had an amazing honeymoon in Quebec City, developed an unhealthy obsession with shackets, checked off Oregon from my list of places to visit, and made countless memories I’ll cherish for years to come. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year so special. Cheers to the next.

Years ago while living in the PNW, I dreamed of travelling to Canon Beach for this shot. Last week I was in Portland for work and drove to the coast to finally cross it off the list. I was up for over 21 hours that day, and it was worth it.

This was the perfect cabin to sit back, relax, and unplug for a few days before heading back down into the city for the rest of the week. What a great honeymoon.

Spent some time exploring old Québec with my wife.
