Poster for group show “Winter Collection” which opens today. This time not only did I have the honour of designing the poster I also am thrilled to announce that I am part of the show. I couldn’t be happier to be exhibiting along side Brian O’Connor and , two exceptional BC landscape artists that I have admired for quite a while. I am doing a pretty big happy dance right now.

This is one of three photo composite collages that I recently added to my stock portfolios. It’s a combination of in-camera multiple exposures from a very stormy day in the bay combined with some sunny day photos and a touch of painting of the digital kind. I love doing these and there are more in the works.

is back in person this year! Although it was a blast designing the site and marketing for the virtual show last year, especially since so much was learned about online exhibitions, I can’t wait to attend in person this year.

I had the pleasure of designing the poster for Fall Group Show. It opened yesterday and features the work of some of my favourite local artists. I can’t wait to go see it in person. Show runs until October 30th.

I had the honour of designing the poster for Tam Irving’s new solo show . His pieces were very inspirational to work with. I was especially drawn to his use of colour and fearless use of geometric form. It made coming up with a design almost effortless.
The show runs to August 28th and is stunning.

Traversing silence explores the summer landscape of a remote part of BC’s northern Stein Divide over a four day ridge walk.

The Protagonists opens at in just over a week. It is going to be an amazing show. I can not wait to see the pieces in person and step into these artists worlds.

I LOVE colour! These little guys made me so happy working on them and to make it even better they are for kids which is always a hoot! They brought me back to the days when my son was still little and going to camps... great memories. I wish I had lived a bit closer then, he would have loved it.

I have had the honour of working with the incredibly talented artist Hinda Avery for the last couple of years doing the digital colouring of her Bayla comic book series with her. The series has also been turned into an animated short by the equally talented Micheal Kissinger and Marty Emanuel and has been making appearances at various film festivals throughout North America. To top it all off Hinda and I are currently working on an anthology of her comics. Hinda’s comics tackle aging from a relatable and darkly comic perspective, following Bayla as she deals with aging, anxiety and the need for affirmation from the art world. They have been a joy to work on and have provided me with many laugh till I cry moments.

Another beautiful day in the bay. I think this one may have to find it’s way into my stock art portfolios. It was magical how the point reflected in the tidal flats... almost felt tropical. I sure do miss going down to there. Hopefully the boarders are able to open this summer. I sure feel for our neighbours who have had to weather COVID so cut off. I can’t imagine what it has been like...

I am doing a happy dance as I finally have my painting website to a place where I feel comfortable letting people know it exists!
It’s funny, the saying “your your own worst client.” is so true. Being a designer by day, I just finished another artists/clients site in a 10th of the time it took me to do my own. I am just to wishy washy when it comes to making decisions about my own stuff. Now on to update (a much needed one) my design site, hopefully I am a better client to myself this time!
