I opted to dilute her pigment slightly as I didnt want to give her brow shock 🙏 I normally dilute in the first session for clients that have thin brows or little hair on their brows. I find when it comes to mapping lips having your client laying down is best unlike brows. 1️⃣ Get a clear closeup PHOTO of the lips. You want to have a clear image of visible pores/hair around the lips and where the vermilion border is. 🤳 2️⃣ Get your client to lay down and then proceed clean the lips. Use a sharpened white liner pencil and start mapping the lips. ✍️ 3️⃣ Once the lip is outlined clean the lip edges with a dampened microbrush applicator. I use distilled water to dampen the brush. 4️⃣ Now that the lip is done being fine tuned I get the client to sit up and take another clear PHOTO. Here I compare it with the BEFORE PHOTO. I am looking to see that I haven’t overdrawn and that the white pencil outline is covering the pores/hairs and not the lip tissue. You want to avoid tattooing the skin around the lips where pores/hairs are present. 🤳 5️⃣ Once you are satisfied with lip shape show your client. If she loves it move on to securing the outline with a good setting powder. I use Wet n Wild Photofocus Translucent Powder. I PRESS it on with a disposable sponge and let that bake for a cpl minutes. Wipe off the excess with a tissue or cotton pad. Did a cover up today. She had a couple of laser tattoo removal sessions done to remove old microblading. I would’ve preferred she did another session but she said she couldn’t take the pain from the laser and was ok with some of the old tattoo showing on the outer edge of her new brows. Mapping these brows took me some time as her right brow was higher than the other and her tail ends were not symmetrical. The key is to never rush the mapping part.
