Happy heavenly 😇 birthday to my wonderful dad. For anyone that knew my dad, he was the life of the party, always making people laugh. He was a great father and grandfather and always supported my dreams and aspirations. He left us last November but I know he is still with us in spirit.

I’m so grateful to have had him in my life and that my children were able to create meaningful memories with him. He did all the electrical in our Vaughan location and helped whenever he could. As we now go through the process of building the new location in Toronto, I know he is with us, guiding us from above.

June 10th is a very emotional day for me. It’s the day my mother passed away when I was 15 years old; the day my last baby was born 9 years ago; and the day my storefront location in Vaughan opened in 2017.

Some of you may know that my mom was a BIG part of my life, and losing her at a young age was really tough. Before she passed, she loved drinking Coca-Cola and for me, it became a symbol of her. Since her passing, I always notice ‘her’ around every time I need to make a big decision. Before purchasing my 2nd storefront in Schomberg, I asked my mom for a sign if I’m making the right decision. When I walked to the storefront doors after getting the keys, I looked down and saw a Coca-Cola bottle cap (see 2nd pic). I knew that was her telling me I’ll be okay ❤️

Last night, we had the privilege of being in the company of many dreamers and doers and entrepreneurs that help shape our economy, provide jobs and help to make the world a better place.

Our program and our community initiatives were recognized at the awards gala last night as a finalist for the ‘Community Impact Award’ 🏆. Giving back to the community that has helped us grow into what Skinprovement looks like today is a fundamental part of who we are. Over the years, we have supported many wonderful organizations such as Mackenzie Health, Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, and Hospice Vaughan, to name a few, and will continue to do what we can to make our community strong. We also offer free Microblading through our ‘Brows for the Brave’ initiative to those suffering from cancer or other illnesses.

None of what we do would be possible without our amazing staff, the love and support from our community, and our family for always believing in us ❤️

Another year older, another reason to be grateful.
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for my friends, family, staff and clients for being part of my life and supporting me.

Last year, I did not blow out any candles, because my dad had a brain aneurysm four days before my birthday. That was the beginning of a long and painful journey for me as I felt helpless. Seven months later, he never woke up and we laid him to rest. With the love and support of family, friends, staff and clients, I was able to persevere this past year. Although it won’t be the same celebrating this year, I know he’s looking down on me, sending me birthday butterflies kisses. 😇 ❤️

Hey everyone! When it comes to watching the partial phases of a solar eclipse today, the best way protect your eyes from injury due to the intense radiation is with ISO 12312-2:2015 safety glasses. Be sure yours are true ISO certified otherwise you are at risk. If you put on your glasses and you can see objects in front of you, they won’t protect you from the sun’s radiation. You should only be able to see the sun faintly and everything else is black.

And remember to also apply sunscreen. It doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold outside, winter or summer, daily SPF application is an important part of your daily skin care routine.
