Gorgeous gate rebuild on a 110 year old Heritage house. Lovely clients and such a wonderful job in the shade! It was hot out there today ☀️

We are extremely excited to finally be able to share the final pics of this project with you!!! We are very proud of the outcome and the result of this kitchen transformation. It started off with a request for a custom built table by and morphed into a raised banquette storage seating area with shelving, lighting, matching custom bench seating, and a storage cabinet organizer for the kids back packs and coats.

We are so happy and so are our fabulous clients with how this project turned out!

We made a raised platform seating area, built a chair rail along the custom banquette seating with built in storage to match our Barnwood table. It made a great division of an open space from dining to living room.

We picked out industrial pipe legs for our handmade Barnwood table and industrial farmhouse style lighting to match.

What a change to this space! Perfect for family and friend entertainment.

We added in a nice backpack storage for the kids in the kitchen.

We have our first repeat client! We built a custom table for and she loved it so much she trusted us to make her a bookshelf. Tiana sent us her inspiration and we are pretty smitten with our version. It was the first bookshelf we have created (not without it’s learning curves and I will say swear words 🤭). We are grateful we get to make another piece for our clients house to make it feel like home.

We are very excited to say we have been accepted for this amazing market! Our first official market as Son & Hart Home. We hope you can come out and see us on July!

Our vendor call-out is now closed! Thank you to all those that have applied. We have an amazing line-up of talent to offer at this year’s market happening Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24th, 2022. We have many returning vendors from previous years as well as an array of new vendors participating for the first time. We’ll also have live music and a yummy food truck on site. We will be posting our approved 2022 vendor list soon so stay tuned!

We had the pleasure recently to deliver two tables and matching benches to our wonderful clients. We can not express our sincere gratitude enough for being able to be able build pieces to add to peoples homes!

Sneaky peak for another custom order of a dining table and coffee table! For one of our wonderful clients Robyn. Here is a great example showing the raw sanded down pine wood furniture beside a finished product that Alexis got her hands on to complete the painted and waxed piece. It’s a team effort here. Here is a serendipitous moment of how sourcing and supporting locally owned businesses like our own at Son and Hart is a win for all! We have been flooded with custom orders (thank you!!!) and ran out of furniture wax that we use to create our signature “Driftwood” and “Barnwood” finish to our pieces. A lovely local store in Sidney named saved our day. This lovely store is also supporting my very talented Aunty . Walking in the front door and seeing a piece of my auntie’s art on the wall, yes we had the feels 🥰 Gosh! We sure do love our little island home.

We are back at it again! We have been busy and enjoying building pieces for our own home lately. We had so much interest from clients and such lovely feedback from friends and family 🥁 drumroll…
Son & Hart home collection is in the works so you can bring a piece of Son & Hart into your home. We made this dining table shown here for our home. With matte black hairpin legs, distressed paint and dark wax finish on the top to recreate the look of barn wood. It fit perfectly with our eclectic style of our home of industrial modern farmhouse.

We have been a bit quiet on here but have been pretty busy! Look what we have been up to lately. Some progress pictures of projects we have been working on this year.

Another project completed! We replaced the tub surround for this client and it turned out so well and he was very happy with the results. A fiberglass 4pc unit is a cost effective and fairly fast way to spruce up a rental unit.

Project Bathroom storage complete! We are so happy with how it all turned out. We are thankful for our clients for letting us put the Hart in their home

How lucky are we living on the West Coast and have beautiful sunny days in December?! Warm enough to paint outside.
