Just got my masters back from Otic Sound and they sound killer. I whipped up a cover on MS Paint lol even though I have access to Photoshop. I wanted to explore working on something like this with limited software while also allowing my personal art to come back on some of my covers. I'll be dropping the bandcamp link soon. Might trickle some tracks via my soundcloud account. Fans, keep an eye out! The bandcamp page will have 2 tracks that you can only access if you purchase the album. Very excited to bring another LP into this world.

Stream conscientiously. Still bottom of the barrel but at least some companies are making efforts to fairly compensate us.

As you can see it’s great for the steaming platforms but a terrible deal for the musicians. What other business mode do you get all your merch for free and keep all money!? I mean it’s ludicrous. I love how all them claim to be better than the other. All them have commercials that’s say “if you don’t want commercials pay 12-20 a month and you can stream add free!” So in the next 10 years are we gonna see dozens of streaming platforms just pop up with the same model? Where does it end?
Roll with me here a second. Hypothetically, what if one day there was no bands on any of these platforms? Just one day they all got together and just said “no” and pull everything on a particular day all at the same time? I know,I know that’s not gonna happen. But ok fair enough not realistic at all. But what about 30-40 important bands from whatever particular scene/genre? Like What if they all made a conscious effort and just said “no?” Do you think that would make any kind of difference? Would you leave if there was no more goth? Punk ? Psych? Let’s say for conversation sake more recent bands. I seriously doubt the legacy acts will do anything Because they would have done something already! They possibility have better deals ( I honestly don’t know how that all works so just guessing) I know this is all super unrealistic. Totally. So just a topic for discussion. A Conversation. We can still have those right? All walks of life should care about fair pay for the artist. We were there for you when you turned on your favorite song..
