✨ At least 8 to 12 months in advanced (don’t miss out because you want to wait it out)

✨ When inquiring, provide all the details needed to be given an accurate quote (date of service, number of bridal party, what is your get ready time that you need done, etc.)

✨ Discuss your needs and what you envision for your day with your makeup and hair artist. THIS IS A MUST. You and your artist need to be on the same page on what you need and if it can be achieved

I specialize in soft glam for a reason, I really do believe that less is more! As a makeup artist and doing this for over 3 years, I’ve learned a lot on what works and doesn’t for me. I truly believe that makeup doesn’t need to be complicated either, with just a few essentials in your makeup bag you can literally switch it up without needing to buy a galore of makeup (unless that’s your thing, because that’s how I started out and then I become a makeup artist 😂).

What’s the difference between a getting services from a freelance makeup artist vs a team of makeup artists?

Although it may not seem much of a difference, however I find time to time I received requests of providing makeup service for a large bridal party of 15 when I am only one person 😅. So here’s how you can navigate what is best for you:

✨ Makeup and Hair Team are great for those who have large bridal party services to meet a certain alloted time. When you have a huge bridal party (6 or more) for example, you need to consider what the timeline of your day is looking like and your get ready time

✨ Makeup artist can realistically fulfill about 5-7 people back to back (depends on preference of capacity from the artist) but consider, there is an hour session for each person. For myself as an example, a smaller or intimate bridal party is realistic and can meet your requirements

✨ Consider your timeline. Do you need makeup service done in a short period of time or you have the flexibility to adjust? These are all factors to consider to book appropriately for your day

Who says men can’t have makeup done? I’m going to say this is for real, I have seen the groom with dark circles or need that little pick me up (alcohol is not the answer 😂).

A little bit of foundation and concealer makes a huge difference, and TRUST ME when I tell you, it’ll be unfamiliar for the men but he’ll forget about it for the rest of the day 😂🙌. I put a bit of skincare product, foundation and concealer on our model from a style shoot… can you even tell?? 😌🤫

Planning a wedding to start with is already stressful and overwhelming. The one thing you should definitely not look over is your makeup and hair! It does not need to be complicated and let’s not overcomplicate your experience 🙅🏻‍♀️. Everyone’s take on makeup and hair will always be different from another. How do you prepare for your bridal trial and why do makeup artists emphasize this service?

✨Your wedding is the biggest milestone and one to remember for the rest of your life. There are high stakes when it comes down to every detail from choosing your venue, vendors, date, etc. We don’t want no lacklustre makeup and hair for the special day (yes, I said it and it’s true 😂). Choosing the right makeup and hair artist is always a key part of your experience, don’t overlook this area and definitely don’t sell yourself short!

✨ Save your inspo and moodboard. When you go into your bridal trial, you get your consult and have a thorough conversation with your makeup artist. Sometimes what you think you want, may end up being the complete OPPOSITE. Trials not only tested out the longevity, but it is also how you like it on yourself and what you are comfortable with.

✨ Your bridal trial is a personalized experience that only caters to you! It is not about what others want for you or what the makeup artist want your bridal trial to look like. If anything, guiding you to the right direction on where you can achieve the look that YOU want and content about!

Why are some makeup services expensive?

This is a question I find a lot of clients have asked and I cannot provide a simplified answer, but can give you pointers 😂. However, it depends on what your definition of “expensive” is according to your budget.

✨ Makeup artist charge based on a few factors: their experience, knowledge, products, the occasion of event, and other expenses to run a business. It is simply not just based products and inventory alone as conceived when providing you rates.

✨ Special events such as wedding brings a HIGHER stake and pressure the day of. This does not only fall in line with makeup artists, but also vendors who are also providing their services on your special day. The high pressure and liability is on the vendors to meet the expectations and timeline of the day plays a core part to ensure they make your vision come true!

✨ When there is a large bridal party or large group for makeup services, consider who you are going to as well! Are you going to a makeup and hair team? Or a freelance makeup artist? Consider the amount of people you are asking for service that one individual can fulfill vs a team. Rates are dependent on who you go to go as well

Keep in mind if the rates the makeup artist/s provide does not resonate with you, then the makeup artist is not for you. Consider the rates makeup artist quoted and their time providing you what they can accommodate accordingly to meet your expectations. There are plenty of makeup artist with different level of experience and knowledge, think of what works for you. Communicate with your makeup artist on what you are looking for to achieve that vision 💗💗

When wedding season peaks through, I know all the potential clients are rummaging and shopping around for a makeup artist. It is no brainer when you check my page and think “I like the makeup” 😌😂. But have you looked through my portfolio and resonate with my signature style? A thought to think about because I know my signature is not for everyone!

✨ Whether you are looking to hire a makeup artist for special events, weddings, etc., it is important to think about what it is that benefits and compliments YOU. Your makeup artist is there to help align with your vision and this starts with their signature style!

✨ Does the artist rates resonate with your budget? Every makeup artist charges different rates accordingly to experience, knowledge, and other aspects of running their business. It is important to take in consideration not only for yourself but respect the rates that makeup artist provide you!

✨ Does the makeup artist work aligns with your vision? (Take a look at your inspo, moodboard, etc.) Do you want a full face beat of makeup? Do you want a natural look? Do you want soft glam? What makeup looks did you save that can somewhat match with your artist’s work?

✨ Important questions to ask yourself while searching, is communication up to par with your expectation with the makeup artist? Do you feel comfortable to provide feedback/notes to your makeup artist should there be a time to do a trial? A crucial part to know is how the communication is… when you inquire to the point of sitting in the artist’s chair and you have your makeup session done

It is very important to think about because understand for ANY special events you plan to do, hiring the right person is what matters most 💗
