The asymmetrical Pie of Pain is sporting a unique setup that allows for easier access to their internals and the BIG wheel helps offset the gyroscopic wobble generated from that massive vertical spinning Deep Dish of Doom.

It generates A LOT of momentum and that really excites me. I mean it went to a Judges' Decision with Gruff for pizza's sake! I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for this bot.

This is the first drawing in my Season VII Series of BattleBots: Back in Time and is quite possibly my #1 pick heading into this year's tournament...

You put the robot on its side, gut it, redesign it, give it the ability to function even while inverted, you change the spinner configuration from vertical to horizontal, give it a new name and you bring in some incredibly talented people like Shea from JackPot & awesome sponsors in Malice to bolster the behind the scenes efforts and get it ready for its television debut!

Then, you pop some weapon spin up tests on the internet, put the fear of the deep sea God you're named after in your opponents, you put out a sweet logo, dope colour scheme and you basically steal my heart. All over again.

One year ago today, I finished drawing Robotic Death Company's Gigabyte capturing their prize, and in 2 days Gigabyte is the defender of the Golden Bolt when BattleBots returns for the CHAMPIONS tournament!

They took down SOW in the final of a similar style tournament last year to solidify themselves as a champion.

The biggest piece yet from Robotik Pixels!

With HiJinx being so wide, there wasn't a nice way to showcase the cool pattern without breaking out of my comfort zone. HiJinx reached new heights this year, so I figured I would try and do the same. I doubled the size of my canvas from 64x64 to 128x128 pixels to bring this PixelBot to life.

The paint job/wrap always makes me think of a circus or carnival, so that's where the dunk tank inspiration comes from.

That Bloodsport/Claw Viper match was good! Way to kick off the show, guys!

Well, here it is...

The final set of predictions before we get to the Round of 32 Championship Tournament next week!

I have had a pretty good year with my predictions, sitting comfortably at 41-23 heading into episode 10!

To say this is bittersweet is a massive understatement. While we have been treated to one hell of a season, there is/was a lot of confusion surrounding the number of matches each team participated in and why they all didn't get 3 a piece.

It without a doubt stinks that teams like Whiplash, Copperhead and Rotator only got to have 2 fights in 10 episodes. Sure, they are outstanding and have done well enough this year to warrant a spot in the tournament, but the people want to see their favourites tear it up, so I understand the confused feelings entirely.

Regardless, the season comes to a close tonight! Who do you think sneaks in at number 32 to face defending champ End Game?!

I can't believe it's already Tuesday and the regular season is over in 2 days!

Obviously End Game is #1, but who do you think they will face first???

My money is on Skorpios or Hydra sneaking in at the 32 spot with their 1-2 records based purely on Skorpios' performances and what Hydra bring to the show.

This should be another epic night! Tune in Thursday night on Discovery!

WEEK NINE POWER RANKINGS!

The standings are starting to take their final form with only 1 episode left in the regular season!

This week, 5 bots cracked the Top 20 & 2 of them even managed to make the Top 10 after they had impressive performances in the latest episode!

After going a jaw-dropping 3-0 in their debut season, has Blip done enough to make it to the Top 10 this week?! Only reigning champs End Game & young Ribbot share a coveted 3-0 record, but perhaps the strength (or weakness) of their schedule kept them on the outside of the Top 10 looking in.

Sporting a massive egg-beater style drum spinner & a sleek black/blue paint job, Riptide Battlebot has come out of the gate absolutely swinging in its debut season!

They managed to pop HUGE up on the screws with a COLOSSAL shot for a win in their first ever match and carried that same power over into their second match, where they nearly sent themselves out of the arena with an absolute MOON SHOT after colliding with the Upper Deck!
