This dish is what we usually eat back home in the South of Thailand, Songkhla, when we were younger. Younger Me only ate the crispy sweet potato bits and not care about the salad itself. Now the Older Me love it so much. It has loads of veggies/greens, shredded chicken brest, boiled eggs, crispy tofu, crispy sweet potatoes dressed with peanutty curry spicy sauce. Brings me right back to childhood again.

This LARB PORK, spicy ground pork salad paired with fresh veggies is great to eat with stickyrice in summer time.
Ingredients: ground pork or chicken, shallots, green onion, cilantro, ground roasted glutinous rice, fish sauce, lots of lime juice, and chili powder to add the last kick.

Massaman or Mussaman is a sweet and aromatic curry that can be cooked with chicken, pork or beef. It has potatoes, onions, and options with peanut or not. Serving with homemade pickle papaya, carrot and shallots. This dish paired really well with steamed rice or even your choice of pasta.

This curry was mentioned by the late Thailand's poet, Soontornphoo, hundred of years ago in history of Siam. Mussaman is one of the best dishes in the world.

Mom never stops explroing the posibilities of our Thai cuisine. She once made pizza with LARB salad topping (which was amazing!) It's the right tangy and spicy combination with the crispy thin crust pizza. Yesterday she made PANANG CURRY chicken with spaghetti! Her imagination is limitless!

We are bringing our homecook Thai food to Kettle Valley annual Garage sale happening this Saturday 8:30-1pm. We made;

~ Srpingrolls fry-to-order
~ Speedy chicken Panang Curry portions (ready-to-eat frozen)
~ Speedy chicken Green Curry portions (ready-to-eat frozen)

Each menu is $10 per portion for this event. We hope this will be a hit and loads of people with be there.

It's time for Mango Sticky rice again or what!?

We started seeing mangoes in store again so this is always the reminder for us to make this delicious dessert dish.

My grandpa, my mom's dad, has fallen ill and sent to hospital with neumonia, organs failure, and is breathing through ventilator. So my mom booked the fastest flight she could find from Kelowna to Thailand. Without my mom, me and my little felt half empty, but she arrived home safe, and scheduled to go to the hospital in a couple of hours.
Therefore, I have to put our little homecook food service on hold.

Mom tried making "Drunken Noodles stir-fry" with egg noodles.
We haven't found the perfect recipe for thisbdish yet as different noodles give different textures and tastes. We keep exploring the possibilities.
This dish is for those who look for that spicy chili bites with sweet basil and baby corns. My type of noodle dish! 🌶❤️

This is me trying a new menu. My Creamcheese wonton needs a little bit more of perfecting but it definitely won our hearts (and guts) as a favourite appetizers 🎉❤️

We were thinking of making this dessert. It is mung bean paste with jelly coating, called Look Choop. They needed to be one by one shaped, painted and dipped. It takes time and practice. But they look so fun and colorful! We will update on the process if we fail or not! Hahaha😅

We made this savoury snacks to remind us of childhood. Our family favourite!

This is called crispy Krong Krang. It's made with flour, corn starch, coconut milk, egg, and coated with savoury palm sugar, garlic, cilantro, black pepper and fish sauce mixture. It is so sweet but salty it's satisfying. Unstoppable crunching and munching.

We hope to introduce more of our lifestyle and culture into the food that we make. Hope you get to try them!

It is our summer must try, along with other appetizers, of course. The papaya can be modified/substitute with different other fruits.

This dish can be found in every gathering or street food in Thailand. Some, the spicy level is insanely hot. I personally like it just above mild so that my tongue won't burn off of my mouth. 🤣😆😋😛🤤😁😉🤗
