With the construction of West Kelowna’s first City Hall underway it is now time to think about the plan for Mount Boucherie Community Center.
In 2009 when West Kelowna took over the community, it was supposed to be temporary for 5-10 years maximum. It took the leadership of this council to actually start construction on our first ever city hall.
The promise was made once a new City Hall was built it would be restored and returned back to the community.
Here is your chance to have input on what the new Community Center could look like.

I was recently interviewed by KelownaNow regarding the vaccine mandate. Since that article came out I have received over 1,000 email, phone calls, text and other messages....with over 99% being supportive.
I have been overwhelmed by the stories that people have shared. Many tear filled ones that end with family division, loss of friendship, mental health issues or a loss of job.
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who reached out to me.
It wasn't easy to speak out. Everyone we spoke to told us not to...but it was the right thing to do. To stand up for the marginalized and against division and to restore hope in our society.
Thank you.
If you haven't heard of or checked out Kelowna10 i highly recommend it. Great site, great app, and a great layout.
I was able to share my thoughts on the vaccine mandates and why i believe they should end.

Jayson Zilkie, West Kelowna City Council
On October 20, 2018, Jayson Zilkie was elected for his first term as City Councillor. The following is a brief introduction to Jayson...
Jayson Zilkie is no stranger to balancing priorities. With two preschoolers, a leadership role in a fast-growing company, and a small business he and his wife operate, his abilities to assess needs, plan and execute have never been sharper.
Jayson’s draw to a seat in Council Chambers started at home, thinking about the little residents he is raising – primarily their safety and their opportunities. Having spent most of his own life in West Kelowna, he wants to ensure that upcoming generations have everything they need to thrive in the community he loves.
