Gifts, home decor, and more. Most of our unique wood pieces are from local areas around Whistler or
Haven’t posted in a while because we are in the middle of moving house and renovating so I haven’t really had time for much else!
This guy is Sammy! Sam is my mother-in-law’s dog who is sort of the patriarchal dog our our family dog pack. He is such a unique, kind, and wise looking dog that you just have to love and he is every bit as sweet as he looks! 🥰🥰
I’ll post progress pics a little later on to get an idea of the process of making this one. It was a lot of trial and error but it got to a place I was happy with in the end
When you are trying to finish a project but your dog feels the need to remind you that *he* is in fact your priority today
All set up and ready for the holidays
Nativity scene that I made for my Aunt. I was actually thinking of making a nativity scene for Christmas when my Aunt messaged me so I was grateful for the chance! I am also very grateful for the amazing support from my Aunt!
I started keychains/ rear view mirror hangers…whatever you want to do with them really. I like to use them as air fresheners by putting some essential oils in them and hanging them in the car or my craft room.
P.s. the bunny was the bunny from before with no face…I gave him a face
Looks like Lilly wants to join the family business 🤣
Halloween Needle felting!!
Some more mini succulents.
I was excited to try my hand at making cute and loveable “monster” characters, and really playing with the idea of what I would make if got rid of the template and didn’t need to worry about it resembling something. I’m gonna do more of these. They were fun.
A while back I made these funny little sheep. I used wool locks to give them lots of fun texture and extra character
I didn’t share this earlier because I had made it for my mom for Mother’s Day. Her favourite flowers are daisies.
Oh whhhat?!? She made a whole mermaid collection!
They say succulents are easy to take care of, but I say: why risk it?
I made a pink elephant! Why did I make him pink? Don’t know.
Do I find it delightful that he is pink? Heck yes I do!
Progress photo: making mermaids!
First mermaid of a series of mermaids I’m making. I’m still waiting on materials to come in the mail but I’m happy to have my first one started!
I looked up the collective noun for llamas...it’s herd, a herd of llamas. I feel like half of these “collective nouns” are made up anyway so I’m going to call it a fuzzy. So I present to you: a fuzzy of llamas!
Fluffy little bunnies made with my new wool locks. I’m obsessed with this wool!
Just sent this mobile off to the states! That’s right, she’s gone international!
This one is sold but I wanted to put up pictures of it because I was so excited to make a dinosaur mobile 🦕 🦖
Tea for two...or coffee, or hot chocolate. Whatever floats your boat.
New sloth mobile! I was really excited to see how it would look with twine and felt leaves to create a jungle look. I like how it turned out. I might do some more jungley ones. What do you think?
Mmmm donuts...
HELP!
This is a little bunny that I made. I feel like it’s sort of an abstract/ whimsical choice not to give him a face and leave him as is.
Another opinion was that it just looked like it had no face and needed a face.
Thoughts?
New penguin mobile up on the Etsy shop.
Working on a teddy bear mobile. I wanted it to have different styles and a vintage look. I’m not loving the ring it’s hanging on so I am going to switch it out before I put it up for sale.
I bought this lovely wool called unicorn that Was mostly white with different lights streaks of blue pink and yellow in it, almost making it look pearlescent. I have been playing with making different styles of unicorns. Unleashing my inner Lisa Frank 🦄
A little badger I made for my cousin. She requested a badger and I get why. I am now also obsessed with how cute these little guys are. I doubt this will be the last badger I make 🦡
In my resolution to make gift for the family this Christmas, I tried my hand at hot chocolate bombs. They looked amazing! I haven’t tried them because I made the exact amount I needed for presents...but I love how they look!
I made peanut butter chocolate, roll, dark chocolate peppermint, and a white chocolate shell with marshmallows that I wasn’t sure what to name. I could only think of like extra creamy hot chocolate and that sounds real gross to me.
So glad to get to post them now that Christmas is over!
I had this lovely box from a craft kit my sisters and I bought to fill a rainy day at the cabin (pictured in second photograph). I have been holding on to it because I felt it was just too nice of a box to throw out. Then I thought I would turn it into a fake book box!
For some reason I thought It would a swell to take this idea that I have not done before and required a skill set I do not have and turn it into a gift for my MIL for Christmas. No pressure!
The prudent thing to do would be to start by watching tutorials on painting or how to make a book box but I did none of that... I jumped right in and made it up as I went.
Mistakes were made, fixed, attempted to be hid, painted over ect.
My lack of planning had me working on it down to the wire so this is the only picture I have of it and it is not quite finished but here it is...still wet and laid out flat...but I was happy with how it turned out.
For those interested, the person who I made this for is a wonderfully talented knitter, book binder, maker of lovely things. You can follow her
Penguin ornaments y’all! I had one originally on the tree and becks asked if I could keep it and I said yes..... then I sold it because I like validation. I made more though! .
