What a first year it’s been for Creekside Health 🌿 It was not easy at times, and a crazy amount of work. I learned all about the ins and outs of a business and what real team work is. Thankful for our incredible team that we have who believed in us. I’m proud of all our master practitioners and our admin team. It always takes a team to succeed and thanks to my business partner and my husband it made our first year more magical with their constant support and help.

As a young girl, my parents always told me I could do anything that I wanted, I just needed to work hard at it. Our fertility journey has humbled me at such a deep level. No matter how hard and I work at it, we are not succeeding.
Our first IVF embryo transfer was not successful.
For some in this journey, they might feel like that was just their beginning. However, for me, it was hitting my rock bottom where expectations, efforts, emotions, and finances all came crashing down at the same time after trying for 4 years. I felt like a total failure where my body was not responding after everything that I had done to prep for this big moment.

On January 30th they transferred 2 healthy embryos. Everything was going according to plan. However, 6 days later I started feeling different. My body temperature drastically dropped even if I was taking high dose progesterone. I felt so cold, which I knew from a Chinese Medicine perspective that this was not good at all. I knew right away that I lost them. I went from feeling "full" to "empty". My confirmed it for days before the blood work came back. It was comforting in a way. A softer blow maybe. I’m always thankful for the data it gives me on a daily basis. Now it’s helping me to get back into balance.

We won’t give up. The one thing that I’m learning is to let go of outcomes. There’s only so much we can do and control in life.
This might be the hardest lesson of it all.
Let’s see where this will lead us.

Fertility is something I talk about everyday to my patients, it’s also a conversation that and I have at home for almost 4 years now. Our fertility journey has been much longer than I expected with my Traditional Medicine background and knowing what I know about the body. It’s been quite humbling. Getting pregnant is the one goal that sometimes doesn’t work when you work so hard at it. In 4 years, I’ve seen the best fertility specialist, from
Medical doctors, to energy healers, and everything in between. Christian and I have tried it all together from diets to handstands, IUI’s, supplements, to doing nothing and forgetting about it. We’ve now started the journey of IVF. It took me a few years to get comfortable to do it as I’ve felt so terrible on other fertility medications such a Clomid and Letrozole. I’m finally excited even if I already feel affected by the medication. Emotional, fatigued, bloated are just a few fun side-effects. Oh and I can’t do ANYTHING physical, only light walks for a month.
What is incredible is how many couples go through IVF or knows someone close to them that has. Modern day medicine at its best.

It always takes a team to succeed and thank you to everyone who is on ours.
Sorry in advance for the next month or two if I’m no quite myself. Hormones are quite powerful. Also sorry to all my patients who I have to shuffle around as my schedule is hormone dependent. 💕😉💕
