I’d like to take a second and introduce you all to the man behind the concrete. Marke is the owner/operator of Solid As A Rock Concrete. Not only does he put a lot of hard work and dedication into his business he is an amazing father to 4 children and we have another one on the way due to arrive in September. With Father’s Day right around the corner I felt there was no better time to share what he enjoys most outside of concrete and that’s his family and participating in all the sports his children love! I just love what I do, it has been a solid start to the season! Thankful for all my customers and my crew who help me during some of the hottest days.

Yesterday we officially started our season prepping jobs getting ready for pours next week. It’s going to be a busy year that’s for sure. I already had to call my wife to come pull my dump trailer as the ford work truck just couldn’t handle it 😝 should’ve listened to her and stuck with a Ram 😂 Marke Newman Kayla Ladouceur-Newman

On March 17th we received a devastating phone call from my sister, she called to let us know that there was a tumor found in our 3 year old nephews tiny body. On the 18th i flew to Calgary to be with her during this difficult time. As of now we know the tumor is on the kidney, as well as one in the bladder and lung. He started chemo treatment on Sunday and they also managed to remove the mass in his bladder he has a long road ahead of him. We will help them fight this evil demon cancer the best we can. My sister and brother in law will be off work for sometime so a go fund me has been started to help them get through the next couple of months. If you can help us out by even sharing the go fund me our family will be forever great full. We know this little man is going to kick cancers ass!!
