Jack is turning FIVE aug 2 ( isn't that wild!?!)

This year I've decided I'd love to collect donations from RMHC wishlist for his birthday!!
We have used the Ronald McDonald House Charities Southwestern Ontario multiple times throughout jacks life.

Please let me know if you'd like to donate anything and we can arrange pick up or drop off :)

I have such good news 🥰

Today - Jack & I attended a OT appointment at his school. During this appointment, I was taught different therapy techniques to help with Jacks head control, ways to help him stretch out his hips/legs and ways to assist him with feeding!!
After this appointment today, I’m feeling much better about working on things to improve jacks life! It felt so nice to be heard, taught and encouraged.

Last day of school for this guy!

What an incredible year. We are so thankful for his teacher, assistants, nurse and bus driver!

He is developing into such an incredible little boy.
At school he loved music therapy and playing in his little room, all of the stories they read and all the yummy treats they baked! He used a head switch to communicate and can answer yes or no to the options presented to him.
He accomplished all of his term 1 and term 2 goals

Can't wait to see what he does next year at school!

I can finally calm my nerves knowing Jack is going to have the best summer with them and he will be so well taken care of :)

I am going to be looking for childcare for Jack during the summer.
Mondays, Thursdays from 815-445 and possibly fridays from 815-1230.

Will be required to do sensory activites, walks, bike rides, arts and crafts& listen to Mrs.rachel 😃 etc.
He requires hand over hand assistance.
Fully dependant.
Visually impaired.
Must be ok lifting 35+ lbs.
Epilepsy ( controlled but will have to learn about emergency med protocol just incase)
Gtube fed( super easy to learn)

Tomorrow March 21st we will rock our socks for Down syndrome day(get those funky socks out)

Monday March 25th is national Cerebral Palsy day(wear green)

Tuesday March 26th is Purple day for Epilepsy(wear purple)

Jack is living his best life this March break with our previous respite worker, Ashley and her family!

Ellie, Ashleys daughter, is the sweetest thing.
Jack and her just adore each other. Ellie does not let Jacks disability get in the way of anything!
It is truly so heart warming to see the way she interacts with Jack.

Ashley, we are so blessed to know you and you should be so proud of the girl you are raising.
Thank you for taking on all these crazy kids this week!!
