We sorted the pictures according to their middle sounds. 4 would pick a photo and we’d sound it out! These letters are particularly difficult because they often sound similar to new readers.

Each time 4 wanted to ask me for a card she had to sound out the word first, then create matches!
This challenged her because before she could make a match she had to know the word!

Our last day of countdown to Christmas: Sensory Edition! My daughter and I bake Christmas sugar cookies every year! This year we tried a marbled effect and dip, drip and flip instead of piping!
