Boxing Day, which occurs the day after Christmas, is a holiday observed the day following Christmas Day. Boxing Day began as a day for giving gifts to the poor, but it is now mostly recognized as a shopping holiday. It began in the United Kingdom and is now observed in a variety of countries. Boxing Day is a provincial statutory holiday in Ontario. Please note that with the new restrictions, it's best to stay home and shop for deals online from the comfort of your own home. Winters in Canada typically involve conditions to adapt to for those who have not yet experienced a Canadian winter. Two fourth year nursing students will provide a presentation to help international students prepare for this upcoming winter season by providing guidance about things to expect. This presentation will discuss snow, cold temperatures, dressing appropriately, driving safely, winter weather terminology, along various other discussion topics that will best prepare international students for a safe winter in Canada. Graduation Deadlines: No-fee Deadline: August 15th, 2021 Last Chance Deadline: September 30th, 2021 (⬆ these apply to those finishing courses Summer 2021) 🎓 Steps to Apply to Graduate 🎓 1. Log in to student.uwindsor.ca then click on "My Academics" 2. Click on "Graduation" > "Apply to Graduate" in the side menu (sidebar on desktop) 3. Click on "Apply for Graduation" and then select the term in which you finish your final courses 4. Select your diploma delivery options then click continue 5.
