Home Cookin’ (Joel Waldie) has been a DJ in Winnipeg since 2018 and got his start playing in Winnipeg’s downtown clubs, including the Pyramid Cabaret. 

Founder of the FunkyTown Project, Joel’s multi-genre musical style sits somewhere between Funky-House/Breakbeats and UKG, mixed with Rock and Roll, Old school Dance & Hip Hop, and a mixing style designed to keep you on your feet ’til the very end.

Joel is also one of 4 owner/directors of Bring Your Love Festival of arts - FunkyTown’s sister/surrogate summer event. The BYL team is a truly amazing crew, and we are blessed to have a high level of involvement from the festival team for the upcoming FunkyTown; can’t wait for the end result!
