CHB Recruitment is in search of a Controller. The successful applicant will report to the VP of Finance and help
assist the accounting team in general duties where needed. As a Controller they will oversee the Finance team and
assist with day-to-day transactions and queries. Ultimately, they will help our accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions, improving processes and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be a trusted, collaborative team player who will work closely with the VP of Finance and Ownership
group
• Manage the month-end and year-end activities
• Assist the VP of Finance with ad-hoc requests
• Create financial and operational reports for the VP of Finance and internal stakeholders
• Assist the VP of Finance in implementing controls and adopting best practices across all business entities
• Review and manage all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet
reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation
• Manage the accounting team daily and provide guidance to payables, receivables, and bookkeepers
• Manage payroll and assist where necessary
• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including expense reports and bank reconciliations
• Prepare transactions in accounting software as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
• The Controller will have a solid background in accounting and proven experience in a similar position
• 3+ years of relevant experience, with a passion for making improvements to the business
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), financial processes, and
regulations
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
• Self-starter with strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Self-confident and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize
Education / Training
• CPA designation
• 3 – 5 years experience in a management role (preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a member of executive leadership team and develop execute analysis of business initiatives
• Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model, and operational ex*****on
• Prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss, Cash flow Complete analysis
of financial results; Develop recommendations (strategic and tactical)
• Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the organization and makes specific
recommendations for cost reduction and/or profit improvement
• Assist in due diligence and post-acquisition integration for add-on investments
• Assist in development of financial planning and analysis exercises/reports, and maintain capital budget
• Manages payroll and other human resource activities
• Researches, implements, and maintains hardware and software used in the business
• Develops accounting policies to comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, and
management reporting requirements
• Establishes formal internal control policies and procedures
• Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and
corporate/overhead cost allocation
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems
• Serve as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits
• Oversee AR management and provide support to collections activities and weekly cash management
• Other duties as assigned
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:
• 3 - 5 years experience as a Lead Accounting Role or Vice President of Finance
• Hold a CMA, CGA or CA Designation
• Strong financial modeling skills; MS Excel - Expert
• MBA a plus, not required
• Entrepreneurial business experience a plus, not a requirement
• Business Vision financial software experience a plus
