Hello everyone, my name is Jason, married to Katrina and we have a beautiful daughter named Gillian. We were all raised in the Philippines🇵🇭. Typically people say life in the Philippines is difficult and I share the same ideology since I was a child. This ideology led me to work as a seafarer 🛳⚓️ on my early 20's believing that this job will make me 💲rich someday. For eight years, I worked as a seafarer witnessing every continent in the world 🌐. People say we are 🍀 lucky as we have the opportunity to travel the world for free. Despite free board and lodging, people are unaware that in every smile😊 in the photos🌉 that I posted and every signature👟 things I can afford, I endured the feeling of longingness as I was away with my family.

As a father, I would like to witness and be a part of every first experience of our family👨‍👩‍👧 as we are starting to build our married life. But in reality, this is impossible as I had to be away and provide a living for my family. The realization took over me when my wife gave birth🤱🏻 to our daughter without me on her side. At the same time, I missed the first glance of my daughter👶🏻 as she was born without me on their side. Even my daughter's first smile, first word and first time she was able to walk, I was not there to witness those. Sadly I was not only missing out on my daughter's milestone but also on missing our first wedding🥂 anniversary and so many first in our lives which would be lovely if these will be celebrated together. However, I have to bravely face the consequences of being a seafarer and that is being away with your family to provide a fair living.

Along with this, my wife, as Registered Nurse👩🏻‍⚕️ has her own 8-5 full-time job which includes weekend shifts and on-call, still, it is not enough to sustain the life we want. As an ordinary person, our dreams is to provide a better living for our family.

Then our Canada 🇨🇦 opportunity came in, we migrated on 2017 and is so grateful to be finally living each day with my family.. At first, my dream is to have a decent 8-5 ⏰ job and I could go home at the end of the day with my family to bond with them, eat with them and sleep with them. But as a human, our instinct is to want more once you reached your dream. Reality check again, life is still
the same for us, living with your paycheck and not having any money to save after paying the bills💸. Since we dream to own a house 🏡 in Canada, I decided to take a 2nd job believing it I can save💰 for our dream house with no success.

Then we saw a post from the newsfeed📰 of my wife’s best friend. Honestly, at first, I was skeptical to try this but she proves me the system does works.👍👍
