For real
This little guy is a repair in progress. The last pic is the "before". For some reason this little owl didn't have a beak. It's like they sculpted him without. Very strange. While I was at it I patched up some of the other holes in the sculpt as well. Super sculpey is great for repairs like this.
Here's something a little ~Spicy~ for your Friday afternoon. This painting is blacklight reactive, scroll for the glow!

I realized I never posted the finished Polar Bear duo in all of their glory. These two were both garden statue rescue re-dos and I love how they turned out! I've had several people say something like "how hard is it to paint a polar bear, they're just white!" But they're not! Their skin is actually black and their fur is translucent! Their coats have varying shades of whites, Grey's, soft yellows, and creams. If you just paint them white they're flat and boring!
Another garden statue rescue, repair, and repaint. This little owl was solid brown with no definition and a broken base. Now he has a new life in the garden
Garden buddy makeover, suspicious turtle edition.
This little guy is resin so was harder to paint than his concrete friends. Scroll for before and WIP pics.
Another rescued lawn statue. This guy is made of resin, so fixing him up was a bit of a different challenge than the concrete statues. Paints don't seem to last very long on resin statues. Scroll for before pic
Very pleased with how the patinaed bronze effect turned out on this refurbished concrete angel for our pet cemetery. Scroll for a before pic
The little polar bear that goes with the big one from yesterday. Another garden statue refurb. Scroll for the before photos

Another lawn statue rescue. This big guy had no feet and no paint when we got him. Now he's looking majestic, as he should

My dad likes to rescue old broken garden statues. He repairs them and I re-paint them. This gnome now guards the bird baths.

There are a TON of garden statues I've repainted, more to come!
A family/wedding portrait for a lovely friend of mine.
I enjoyed the challenge of trying to capture the elaborate lace train on this gorgeous dress

Too true. If only we were using technology to automate the mundane, instead of ripping off artists
