"It took some time for Logan Red Crow to adjust to being the subject of a documentary.

The young Siksika woman was living a camera-free life on her family’s horse farm on the plains of the Blackfoot territory (about an hour east of Calgary). Then Bella Coola director Banchi Hanuse and a film crew showed up a few years ago to chronicle Red Crow’s life as a horse breeder and trainer for the traditionally male world of Indian Relay ba****ck racing.

The resulting film, Aitamaako’tamisskapi Natosi: Before the Sun, can be seen on Telus Optik TV and Paramount+ beginning Dec 22."

Canadian Drama Little Bird has received many awards and accolades for its heartfelt story about Esther Rosenblum (played by CIT alumni Darla Contois), a woman searching for her Indigenous family after being taken and stripped of her identity at the age of five.

The story was created by Hannah Moscovitch and Jennifer Podemski (CIT alumni) and was inspired by Podemski's experience working with Sixties Scoop survivors. Little Bird was recently recommended in this New York Times article - an amazing feat after just five months from it's initial release date in May, 2023!

Today was an incredible day in the studio laying down drums and bass for our next Burnstick music project. Listening to Bruce Jacobs and Daniel Roy work their magic was so inspirational. As my wife and I played with our son in the engineering room I felt so content and happy. I hope when its released y’all dig it.
