This week was International overdose awareness week. ๐๐ Did you know that on average 21 people per day die in Canada of opioid toxicity?
End stigma. Talk about substance use. Get trained on Naloxone. Carry Naloxone with you. Most pharmacies and community health centres can train you on a drop in basis. If you have treaty status, Nasal Narcan is free at pharmacies in MB. Remember that we don't know someone else's story or struggles - stigma kills. Write your MPs and elected officials and push for overdose prevention sites & more harm reduction services Nationwide. This will save lives.
