Rolex Rotor
The Perpetual rotor is ROLEX’s automatic winding mechanism. It enables the watch to be constantly wound by the wrist’s movement. Invented in the brand's workshops, then patented, it was introduced in 1931. In a constant state of unstable equilibrium, the half-moon oscillating weight rotates with every gesture. The energy generated is transferred to the mainspring, which is continually wound, ultimately moving the watch hands. Regularly. Precisely. Rolex Parachrom Hairspring
An essential guardian of the watch’s chronometric precision, the Parachrom hairspring is entirely designed and manufactured by ROLEX. The ROLEX Deepsea is presented in 18ct yellow gold for the first time, featuring a 60-minute graduated Cerachrom bezel insert in blue ceramic as well as a blue lacquer dial bearing the name “DEEPSEA” in powdered yellow. This new version also incorporates a technical innovation: the high-performance compression ring within the Ringlock system is crafted from blue ceramic. The case back in RLX titanium is edged with fine fluting and hermetically screwed down with a special tool that allows only Rolex watchmakers to access the movement. Its Oyster bracelet in 18ct gold is equipped with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the Rolex Glidelock extension system.
