Summer days are always the hardest for me... most of the time it's too hot and when I leave the window open at night, mosquitos love to bite me! As for music, it often feels like everyone is chilling and cooling down and not much is being released most of the time. Despite the quiet months, some mixes have been created, one of which I would like to highlight in particular. From the label EMBASSY OF EMPATHY, there is a series called "Neumond Podcast" and the latest mix tape in the series is from Tist. It is a very suitable podcast for all kind of situations, that can help you get through these hot summer days and is perfect to start the day, end it, or just stay up and party at the afterhours. If you like the one from Tist, I recommend listening to the other podcasts in the combined May, June and July playlist on Soundcloud right after.

Mira 🎛
A m4live Device designed for people who love randomly generated midi-notes.
This is one of my first projects that I implemented in Max. I've had enough time to revise the patch and finalize the device. You can find the Mira on the Max for Live website as a free download. Feel free to write to me and let me know what you think of it.
Mira is a MIDI effect that I created to generate random MIDI notes based on the played Ableton sequence. You can decide in which range the notes are generated and how often you want them to be played. Additionally, it is possible to choose between two different random modes.

VI - MixTape
It’s been almost a year since I found the time to record a mix for my own Soundcloud. Far too long, because doing it I realised how much I love taking existing pieces of art and merging them into a new compilation. The mix gives a really good insight into the music I’ve been listening to and that has inspired me lately. I hope it gets you into the right vibe for the weekend.

For the playlist of January I have not only one, but five recommendations. Together they form an ambient cloud on which you float through the day and ensures that you don’t become a part of reality again. It takes you along with special sounds and tracks until you wish you didn't have to get off and keep diving into the deep noises and sounds. Sadly though, the trip came to an end and what remained are five mixtapes that I highly recommend you to listen to, preferably in that exact order. The Sound of November
The second last month of the year has passed and what remains are cold days and some cool mixes in the new playlist you’ll find on my Soundcloud. Among them there is a mix that I particularly liked a lot. It is the podcast of the series “On the 5th Day”, recorded by the artist F-ON. His mixes always include inspiring tracks from a variety of genres, it's well worth digging through his Soundcloud! Last but not least for this year I have released a track on the Label „Insectorama netlabel“ for which I already made an EP earlier this year. It’s a compilation called “The Quadrature two” consisting of 23 Dub tracks curated very careful and thorough and I am glad to be a part of it.

Purple Gold
Producing music is one of the most beautiful but also one of the most frustrating things I do in life. How often do I doubt myself, question my work and put myself under pressure. But for moments like the realase of my first EP on vinyl it’s always worth the struggle and they encourage me in what I do.

It’s been a while but finally I recorded a new mixtape for Poisonoise Music.
A Soundcloud channel from England that regularly uploads mixes and is all about the genres deep and dubtechno with a touch of ambient. Check out the channel - it is worth a listen!

The Sound of October
Time flies when there is a lot going on. What shocked me were the temperatures but if these do not fit the month then at least the playlist I have compiled does. It really amazed me how often I listened to the same mix over and over again until I realised about the fact that Moon Patrol consists of the duo Gilles Wasserman and Irina Kotik , which I have followed as single artists until then. If you listen to one mix this month - it’s this one - it’s really worth to listen every minute of it. You’ll find the playlist on my Soundcloud as usual and there are a lot of other interesting and local artists among them.

LOKD_020 Ocean of Clouds
As I woke up in the morning I realised that the sky matches my release: Ocean of Clouds. I have produced the four tracks during this year and they lead trough different genres. I am really thankful that this EP comes out on one of my favourite labels LOKD. The label is a group of good friends that also happen to produce great music. The Sound of September
Since I was on the road travelling with the bus trough the month august, I’ve put together August and September in one playlist on SoundCloud. Among them are again some interesting and really great mixes from various artists. A mix that has accompanied me through the vacation and also stayed during September on repeat is Irimias 2 by Irimias. A combination of electronic, ambient and drum and bass elements, but even those three genres aren’t enough credit to describe this exciting mix. I have no information about the artist except that he or she is from Stockholm, but it's definitely worth listening to. I really like how diverse the playlist turned out and you’ll find artists like: Lawrence, Eli, Agonis, Donato dozzy, Owl and Giacomo Pellegrino.

For years I have been playing a wide variety of set times, in the most different places and I’ve realised that no time gives me more pleasure than the one after the actual party. Then, when you are actually out of energy, but despite tiredness you don’t want to go home yet. The time when people really start to get involved into the music, detached from preferences and imagionations, with the morning sun shining in their faces.

Ambient LiveTape 001.

I really enjoy listening to ambient since a couple of years now and in the meantime it has become one of my favourite genres. The LiveTape takes you on a journey of my own created sound environment for 45 minutes. The sounds are made out of fieldrecordings, samples and a diverse range of plugin synths such as TAL-J-8 which is a perfect fit for atmospheric sounds like the one you here in the LiveTape.
