Coach Frances here. I love animals and I am fascinated by wolves. I saw this photo and had a quick read on another social media site, and it grabbed my imagination! I immediately began to relate how I feel about being in relationship. There’s nothing like that surge of confidence and sense of safety when you know your person is with you and in your corner. When they are caring about your welfare, protecting your heart and valuing their relationship with you so much that they defend you and take the offense to be sure you never have to wonder where you stand with them. BELIEVING IS YOUR REALITY
There’s a lot to be said for having strong beliefs and convictions. When life is tough, they keeps us afloat. Truths proven over time empower our souls to stand up to whatever comes. We proclaim that things are always working out for us!

Then there are those deeply rooted beliefs that cripple and destroy. Sometimes they are lessons learned where we did not quite understand the essence.

It is like the proverbial story of the man, newly married. He noticed that every time his wife made a ham, she would always cut about four inches (12 cms.) from the small end of the ham. Confounded, he asked his wife, “Honey, why do you cut off the end?”

She retorted, “Cause my mama always did it.”

A few days later when he saw his mother-in-law, he asked her why had she always cut off the end of the ham.

She shrugged her shoulders with a bubbly laugh, “Oh! Just because I didn’t have a pot large enough for the entire ham to fit.

In this case a few kilograms of meat had been thrown away. In the case for emotional health and well-being, millions of people sacrifice the best part of their lives holding to flawed beliefs.

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER …
For many of us, having someone to say the words “I love you” is like the breath that we breathe. I remember how I shimmered all over when my special guy said those words to me! All on his own, in his own timing with out a hint of pressure from me. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I can honestly say I see some things that the words did not convey. As best we can, listen with both ears, see with both eyes, and trust our instincts.

People get caught up in what’s happening in other people’s lives when it appears they themselves are stuck where they are. I remind myself that good things are always happening for me because all things work together for my good. Hence I understand that whatever is happening for me is customized to what is best for me. That I can wrap my head around. What about you?

Big changes always begin in the center of your capacity to lovingly acknowledge and handle your own stuff. Live radically, for yourself! Then spread the love to others!
