Water-resistance quality control : There are basically two ways of machine-testing water resistance, referred to as “dry” and “wet” testing. In our case we use the dry technique. The watch is subjected to air pressure and measurements taken to see whether the case expands as a result of air leaking into the case. The water resistance is done though out pressure. The measure is set in Bars / ATM. Resting a watch in a stationary position for long periods can lead to accuracy problems. The effect of gravity can drag certain movement components, such as the ball spring, compromising the timing rate of the caliber. This is why the accuracy control is carefully done in 5 different positions before casing the movement into the watch and must comply to the required tolerance in order to pass.
