Our team ensures that all necessary information is accurately compiled and communicated, providing essential support to facilitate a smooth session. “F&B is the Food and Beverages department. Our department is responsible for making sure no one goes hungry during the session. We coordinate with the LIVE department to explore catering possibilities at the venues, and with the InKind department to plan the food and beverages for the coffee breaks. For the meals that we outsource, we coordinate the logistics of the meal with the caterers. We are also responsible for ensuring that every participant’s dietary requirements are met and they have the food they need.” – Dhvijavanthi Karthik (CH), Core-Organiser of F&B Department.

day 5 - closing ceremony.

Day 5 of the 27th National Selection Conference of EYP Switzerland - Ticino 2023 finished off with the Closing Ceremony.

Leadership of the session and the guest speakers gave out very emotional speeches about this extremely successful session and therefore closed the session officially!

day 5 - general assembly.

Day 5 of the 27th National Selection Conference of EYP Switzerland - Ticino 2023 was slowly finishing off with the final day of the General Assembly!

Delegates within five more committees proposed their resolutions and engaged in heated debates during the General Assembly. By the end of each debate, the resolutions were put to a vote.

The session reached its culmination during such a diverse and competitive assembly!

day 4 - farewell party.

In the afternoon of day 4, all participants went to a brilliant Farewell party where they danced off their last moments in Ticino.

day 4 - general assembly.

The fourth day of the 27th National Selection Conference of EYP Switzerland was slowly preparing us for the session’s end with the first day of the General Assembly!

Delegates within seven committees proposed their resolutions on the first day of the General Assembly and engaged in heated debates. By the end of each debate, the resolutions were put to a vote.

day 3 - cultural afternoon.

During the third day of NSC Ticino 2023, participants got a chance to explore the canton of Ticino during one of the seven different events happening during the same afternoon!

The events that took place were:
- Foundation Ghisla Art Collection & Boccia
- Scenic Busride (Valle Maggia)
- Hike to the top of Monte Verità
- Gelato and walk around Ascona
- Bolle di Magadino
- Guided Tour of Locarno
- Festa della Musica Popolare Bellinzona

All of our participants enjoyed a relaxing afternoon after a hard-working day!

day 3 - committee work.

The third day of Ticino 2023 continued with its working dynamics!

The second day of Committee Work started taking place during the third day of the session. Delegates were finishing their resolutions and providing solutions to various relevant European issues. Committee Work took place in the lovely city of Locarno!

Chairs made sure their committees are working hard and with the help of the Academic Board, managed the structure of the resolutions which will be presented at the General Assembly.

day 2 - euroconcert.

Second day finished off with an extremely fun Euroconcert evening, where both Officials and Delegates showed off various talents on stage.

day 2 - committee work.

The 27th National Selection Conference of EYP Switzerland - Ticino 2023 continued in a working manner!

The Committee Work started taking place on the second day of the session. Delegates were divided into twelve committees which worked together on different topics to propose solutions for various European issues that currently take place.

Delegates started working hard on their resolutions with the guidance of their Chairpersons. Chairs made sure their teams are always fully energised by playing many energising games to get them up and running!

day 1 - opening ceremony.

During the first day of NSC Ticino 2023, the session was officially opened!

Opening Ceremony consisted of welcoming speeches from the Leadership, the President of EYP Switzerland and also two guest speakers: Simona Genini and Markus Krienke!

The food was delicious and all participants enjoyed a big karaoke party during dinner time!

day 1 - committee teambuilding.

After meeting all the teams, Delegates finally got the chance to bond with the rest of their committee members under the guidance of respective Chairpersons.

The session welcomed 12 committees and kicked off the inter-committee work in a playful manner!

day 1 - general teambuilding.

TICINO 2023 officially began by the introduction of the Teams to the Delegates during General Teambuilding! Afterwards, chairpersons proceeded with the inter-committee teambuilding.

During the first day, Delegates connected with each other by playing various games and solving conflicts together!

The session welcomed around 200 young participants, ready to take on the session work.

day 0 - cmoj training.

Welcome to NSC Ticino 2023! On 21st of September, the Officials team gathered in the lovely city of Locarno, in the Ticino canton in Switzerland.

During the day, they had a chance to get to know each other through various games, and the session leadership had prepared their teams for the rest of the session's time through a variety of interesting modules.

NSC Ticino's Farewell Party will happen at the Palacinema in Locarno! It is the second biggest regional project in the region (the first is the Centro Balneare). Opened in 2017 primarily to host the Locarno Film Festival, its purpose went further than just that and it became the stage of a multicultural artistic center.

Culture Afternoon and Resotyping will be held in the Scuola Professionale Universitaria della Svizzera Italiana (SUPSI). The historical building, located in Locarno, used to be the monastery of S. Francesco, before it was turned into a part of the SUPSI. Serving as the vocational college of Ticino it offers high-quality academic programs in the field of education and professional training.

Euroconcert will take place in the Kursaal of Locarno 🎵. This charming building serves as a significant cultural and recreational centre, offering a variety of entertainment options.

The next venue of NSC Ticino 2023 will be the Liceo Cantonale di Locarno, where committee work will be held! With a strong emphasis on language learning, the public high school of Locarno provides students with a comprehensive academic curriculum. Encouraging the development of critical and creative skills, the school fosters a stimulating and inclusive environment.

Swissvillage and Opening Ceremony took place in the Scuola Cantonale di Commercio (SCC), located also in Bellinzona. The school is known for its excellence in business education, helping prepare students for successful careers in the commercial field making. Similarly to EYP, the SCC puts a lot of emphasis on communication, interdisciplinary projects and providing a solid education.

General Assembly will take place in two different locations, the first one being the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI)! This is the only University of Switzerland that offers a multitude of courses in Italian. The historical building that used to be a hospital was transformed into a University in the 1980s, finally giving the Italian speaking part of Switzerland their own University. About 4,000 students are enrolled in USI programmes that range from communication culture and society, business sciences, computer sciences and biomedical sciences (based in Lugano) to the Architecture in Mendrisio.
