Do we all know what I'm talking about? Well yes, Valencia.
Preceded only by Madrid and Barcelona, it is the third largest city in Spain. A city full of vitality, cultural ferment and traditions, but not in the spotlight of mass tourism. Peaceful, relaxed and cultured, Valencia always has an exceptional climate, strategically located along the east coast that makes travelling easy. Valencia is a city full of attractions for tourists. A quaint Old Town contrasts with the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences designed by Valencia-born architect Santiago Calatrava. His innovative, expensive and controversial works and unmistakable style have brought Valencia back into the international limelight, but the city's fame is also due to something else. In fact, paella, the typical Spanish dish par excellence that Valencians take very seriously, was born here.
A city, indeed, an experience to be enjoyed at least once in a lifetime. What better way to enjoy it than after a nice ride along Eurovelo 8?

Preceduta solo da Madrid e Barcellona, è la terza città più grande della Spagna. Città ricca di vitalità, fermento culturale e tradizioni, ma non sotto la luce dei riflettori del turismo di massa. Leggera, rilassata e colta, Valencia ha sempre un clima eccezionale, situata in un punto strategico, lungo la costa orientale che rende agevoli gli spostamenti. Valencia è una città ricchissima di attrazioni per i turisti. Una caratteristica Città Vecchia si contrappone alla futuristica Città delle Arti e della Scienza progettata dall’architetto Santiago Calatrava, originario di Valencia. Le sue opere innovative, costosissime e controverse, e il suo stile inconfondibile hanno riportato Valencia sulla ribalta internazionale, ma la fama di questa città si deve anche ad altro. Qui è infatti nata la paella, il piatto tipico spagnolo per eccellenza che i valenciani prendono decisamente sul serio.

Accompagnati da battelli navigheremo laghi cristallini e passeggeremo tra le montagne austriache. Se vi sentite un po’ come la principessa Sissi che fa trekking nei paesaggi del nonno di Heidi allora siete sulla strada giusta.
Salzkammergut, che solo a pronunciarlo ci vogliono dai 15 ai 25 minuti, è una regione austriaca, che ospita 76 laghi e significa “Tenuta della miniere del Sale” e deriva dalla Camera Imperiale del Sale, l’autorità incaricata di gestire le preziose miniere di sale dell’Impero Asburgico.

This morning we woke up with a great desire to have breakfast with Pasticciotti leccesi....

1-We start in Matera, go to see the two most famous sassi, the Sasso Caveoso and the Sasso Barisano, visit the Park of the Rock Churches, visit the historic center and end with a nice Lucanian dinner in one of the beautiful little restaurants in the area.
2- Let's move to Puglia, today we will see the Trulli, the Apulian aqueduct, Locorotondo, the old town and then by train to Alberobello. We are so excited, we can't wait. How about you?
3-Today a beautiful day totally immersed in nature admiring what Martina Franca has to offer us, such as its excellent wine accompanied by a good plate of orecchiette pasta.
4- We're almost there, don't worry, but first ... how about a tasting of extra virgin olive oil? It's a must in these parts.
5-We're going to Lecce!!! Also called the "Florence of the South," it offers us historical and artistic beauty, lively evenings and great food.
6-The long-awaited moment has arrived: a nice pasticciotto for breakfast and immediately after a swim in the sea of Otranto, what do you think?

Questa mattina ci siamo svegliati con una gran voglia di fare colazione con dei Pasticciotti leccesi…

5-Andiamo a Lecce!! Chiamata anche “Firenze del Sud” ci offre bellezze storiche e artistiche, serate movimentate e ottimo cibo.
6-E’ arrivato il momento tanto atteso: un bel Pasticciotto per colazione e subito dopo un bagno nel mare di Otranto, che ne pensate?

Trust me, you will feel immediately catapulted into the 1920s. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, was inspired by this very bookstore to write her books? I already feel immersed in the pages and words.

Comprare un libro nella libreria Lello&Irmao, fare una bella passeggiata di 10 minuti (12 per essere precisi) per la suggestiva città di Porto e dirigersi al Cafè Majestic. Credetemi, vi sentirete immediatamente catapultati negli anni 20. I più nostalgici potranno accomodarsi a bere qualcosa mentre leggono Fitzgerald ad esempio, così da poter entrare più nell’atmosfera del 1920, mentre per chi ha bisogno di qualcosa di più contemporaneo… se vi dicessi che J.K. Rowling, l’autrice di Harry Potter, si è ispirata proprio a questa libreria per scrivere i suoi libri? Io già mi sento immersa nelle pagine e nelle parole.
Se poi leggere vi ha stancato, beh la città di Porto ha tante altre cose da offrirvi:
