I would like to invite you to a workshop this coming Monday which is based in the Positive Intelligence movement. I found the concepts and program to be very informative and incredibly useful. beChill Exams Holiday course begins next week, December 22nd.
I have been teach students how to be clear headed and confident under any circumstance since 2009. It is what I am really good at!
Over this upcoming holiday season I offer a course for students 15 to 18 that have exams coming up next term.
There are 6 classes of 75 minutes in this online course. We meet at 9:00am to get the day started and make it easy to setup a good routine over the holidays. Students are also supported with an easy to use App that I developed for the course, with access to the App for the remainder of the school year.
All sorts of students have taken this course throughout the years. High achievers, procrastinators, worriers, teens that don't feel they perform well at school, dyslexic, ADD teens. All sorts, and most often with good reviews and results.

For students that want to have the CALM, CONFIDENT & CONCENTRATED edge for their 2024 examinations!
These six 75-minute online classes support teens in managing their nervous system, the emotions, negative self-talk and beliefs, overworking, procrastination and so much more.
Teens are support with the free beChill App which they have access to until the end of the 23/24 school year. This App supports continuous practice of the sophrology, mindfulness, breathing and positive psychology techniques taught on the course.
COURSE IS ONLINE, allowing teens to join from anywhere in the world!

Our mind is powerful and the subconscious mind wants us to be safe. The state of the world today has slowly been chipping away at our ability to be optimistic about the near and far future. We have a certification option for practitioners that want to integrate a somatic practice into their work, and for those working with children and teenagers.
We have a second option for adults that want to increase their level of happiness and optimism through consciousness training. The current climate is not as upbeat as our pre-covid days.

The 3rd principle of Sophrology is Existential Choice.
What does that mean?
Existentialism is a philosophy that underscores the importance of individual freedom in decision-making. We are ultimately responsible for all of our choices and our choices create our own personal existence.
We can choose to be influenced, positively or negatively, by the external circumstances that we might not be able to change. We do however have a choice in how we respond to our circumstances.
Through our choices, in response, we can create a future of well-being.
Extreme examples are when people caught up in war help their supposed enemies. Or when people have the ability to forgive their aggressor. Their existential choice frees them from the victim persona.
On a smaller scale, when we are having a heated disagreement with someone, we can choose to empathize with them. To see their perspective,rather than becoming angry and lash out as they might be. When we choose to remain calm, we are able to make better choices, authentic choices.
Every day we make choices. Every day we face challenges. Becoming aware that we have existential choice shifts the sphere of influence away from the external and into the self. We create inner peace and happiness.

POSITIVE ACTION is the second principle of sophrology.
We do not dwell on our problems or the negative. It is not that these do not happen, or that we are not in the middle of a difficult period.
We connect with our inner resources, with the positive, so that we can live them in the present moment. We bring them forward in the mind and sense them in the body.
Connecting in this way, we strengthen our connection with our resources. This connection helping us move forward, through the challenge or toward achieving our intended outcome.
Newton’s 3rd law is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When we associate with our positive resources, it ignites a positive chain reaction in the whole self.
Sophrology practices impact the mind - body – spirit, bringing us to a level of higher consciousness. When we are in this state, stress is diminished, and we can approach life with an open mind and heart.
Objective reality is a real skill to be mastered.
It is about letting go of our ready-made ideas or assumptions. In this process we let go of judging ourselves, others and circumstances.
A sitting beside the judgements to just observe. To see what really is and not what we have come to expect to be.
Judging is human habit, it leads us to automatic reactions. It is built in and largely controlled by the mid-brain, or our limbic system. This is the part of the brain that works to keep us safe. We befriend our judge as it helps us make sense of the world around us in a way that we have become comfortable with. But is our judge really our friend? Is it really helping us?
Notice I did not say that the judge makes us feel at peace, or in harmony. Our judge usually does not make us feel this way.
It is in the practice of putting of our thoughts and judgements into brackets, and approaching people and situations with curiosity, that we become more objective and in more harmony.
We begin to expereince the world in a different way.
This new way of experiencing the world is a central principle in sophrology practice. We begin to know ourselves with impartiality and newness.
This is one of the most liberating effects of sophrology practice. To move outside of life’s daily judgements and preconcieved notions.
A real freedom of the trappings of the mind.
