Avec mon theremin, on a testé un nouveau dispositif de médiation « son & sensation » dans un groupe de moyens (3-4 ans) d’une garderie lausannoise.

Les enfants ont pu:
✅ découvrir de manière ludique le theremin et tester l’instrument
✅ comprendre le lien entre leurs mouvements et les sonorités produites
✅ développer leur imaginaire en partant de certains sons et bruitages
✅ prendre conscience des émotions sucitées par la musique
✅ participer à deux morceaux de musique grâce à leur bâton de pluie (bricolé préalablement à la garderie)

Between banality and strangeness, sweetness and darkness.

The UPsideDOWN - a live performance of theremin, synth & human interaction in an underground car parking in Lausanne (Switzerland).

It was premiered yesterday night at the great Thereminology festival (Theremin Today / Терменвокс).

The artwork "the tree upside down" by the D. Schlaepfer (Atelier Daniel Schlaepfer), situated inside the parking slot, is the muse of the project. It inspired me at first glance and I composed the music right after my first encounter with it. I naturally had to come back and perform the track for & below the tree upside down.

In this video, i play the theremin and use it at the same time as a controller to modulate and play with my modular synthesiser.

My theremin and my synth yesterday, at Alhambra theatre, for the Click&Collect project organized by Festival Antigel.
Amazing experience : playing for one person, who did not expect anything.
Antigel made it possible for Swiss artists and audience to connect, despite the lockdown and the culture being shutdown, by getting around the rules.
