🥽 Had the pleasure of designing and tattooing this aquatic piece! My client wanted a jellyfish in my signature goddess style, as she appreciates the aesthetic and already has one of my goddess designs on her skin.
🌊 Jellyfish are such surreal creatures - delicate yet fierce. What a beautiful contrast!

Here I was comissioned to create an Ouroboros, the concept of eternity, combine it with the world tree, Yggdrasil, and a crow, the symbol of wisdom and protection.
In honour of the Norse tradition, the elements of the tattoo are combined to channel empowerment and the art is fortified with carefully-chosen treetop runes, which invite good things to the wearer.

I was honoured to do this scar coverup a while ago.
We combined the mystical elements: The moon, moth and ibex skull. It was the most natural thing for me to place these elements in relation to each other and finally unite them in a dotwork sacred geometry lattice.

Who doesn't know him, the mighty dragon that appears in the manga series Dragonball?
In Chinese mythology, he is a spiritual dragon who is the master of storms and the bringer of rain. In China, people want to avoid insulting him because this would lead to bad weather and poor harvests.
Here, my customer wanted a Japanese interpretation of the Dragonball Dragon holding Dragonballs Three and Four.
In the manga, the Dragon grants a wish when you collect all seven Dragonballs. May this tattoo bring him good luck!

Tattoos don't always have to be bold, with thick outlines and a generous amount of black. Sometimes they can be subtle and then it is important that each line fits and lasts forever despite its thickness.
🦋 Here I was asked to create a very fine butterfly consisting of only a single line. To make it more dynamic I used different line thicknesses. Despite it being on the ribs, my brave client didn't flinch and I made every effort to complete this fineline tattoo to perfection!

🌚 The moon, with all its phases, has fascinated many of us since we were very young. This incredible power influences so much in our lives. The absolute darkness of an empty moon, the thin silhouette in the middle of the sea of stars at new moon, and in my opinion the best image in the sky, the full moon shining brightly.
🌝 The waxing moon, represents Selene, who is full of vitality and sexuality. The full moon is again attributed to Artemis and represents fertility and motherhood. Hecate is associated with the waning, the old woman or witch, and is said to bring renewal and healing.

A Tattoo for a special person in your life? What a wonderful love statement! Some choose to have the name, date of birth, or profession of that significant person. Here I got to combine a fieldmouse with a bat to immortalise two inspiring people in my customers life.
It's a great contrast I think...the cute fluffy mouse with those leathery batwings.

A classic romantic mermaid, kept simple, floating in the water in an elegant pose. I took a little inspiration from art nouveau because this period is incredibly sensual, befitting the theme.
The ribs can be a challening place to work and an unintentional twitch can happen at any time, but client took it well and we are delighted with the final result.

Some time ago I had created a flash of a traditional-inspired heart pierced by arrows, symbolising that it can take more than just a cupid's arrow to make this heart love. A customer saw this Wannado while browsing through my flashbook and was struck by the arrow. And so a cigarette pack sized drawing became a whole shin tattoo. When I finished it I was overwhelmed by the effect of this simple drawing on such a large scale. I keep repeating myself, it takes two people to make a great tattoo....

The Fool card from the Tarot is the first card of the Major Arcana, the first step of the Soul`s journey through life. It can be interpreted as being on the verge of an exciting, unexpected new experience that leads you down a path that may require a leap of faith and brings inner growth. Unburdened by the conventions and expectations of society, the Fool follows their heart for better or worse.
I love the great illustrations on tarot cards and the amazing symbolism they carry. Needless to say, I was very excited to get this assignment.

For this project I was tasked with making the face of a woman appear from the wide open mouth of a demon. It is an interesting and popular theme to unite these contrasts. I myself wear a similar tattoo. It is a reminder that not everything that glitters is gold. Or rather, that evil does not necessarily come in the form of a horned beast in a red robe, but as that which we most long for and desire.

Tattoos are sometimes used to make a statement, to proclaim one's ideals or to honour something.
My client wanted a police van that had been vandalised on the side with a graffiti encouraging peace and love. Not too much detail, relatively small but striking, and containing an excerpt of the lyrics of a Swiss spoken word artist. He chose the placement of the two tattoos and was very happy with the final result.
Sometimes there are many words, sometimes only a few, and ideally a tattoo can do without any words at all. To each their own.

A whileback I'd created a Flash filled with diverse Traditional pieces. A client saw the collection while browsing through my Flashbook and these caught her eye. In fact she chose the placement and all of a sudden they made perfect sense. It always amazes me when I draw Wannados without knowing where they gonna end up. 🌟 My goddesses were created during the first lockdown at a moment when the whole world changed. They manifested from my subconscious and wanted to be immortalized on paper, textile, wood and finally on skin. My goddess pieces are deeply personal works that sprang from the source of inspiration. This goddess is Bouncy, Dancing, Free...She is meant to represent the joy of life and living it to the fullest. On paper she was lacking something, but when we placed her on her predestined body place she came to life. 🧘🏼
