What are Kriyas? ☸️ Kriyas (or Shat Kriyas) form a vital component in the study of eight limbs of Yoga. The yogic kriyas are also explained in the ‘Niyamas’ denoting how a purified body is closest to the divine. ☸️ Through the practice of certain yogic cleansing practices, you can restore the body to its natural health and well being by eliminating the accumulated radicals. They have been studied and practiced by yogis, gurus and sages since the evolution of Yoga. ☸️ You can also decipher them as the methods of preparing the body for undergoing intense practice of Yoga. ✨An ancient text - “The Spring and Autumn Annals” states that in mythic times a great flood covered much of China. Stagnant waters produced widespread disease. The legendary shaman-emperor Yu cleared the land and diverted the waters into rivers by dancing a bear dance and invoking the mystical power of the Big Dipper Constellation. As the waters subsided, people reasoned that movement and exercise can similarly cause the internal rivers to flow more smoothly, clearing the meridians of obstructions to health. Qigong-like exercises are found on ancient rock art panels throughout China. Chinese shamans used these exercises and meditations to commune with nature and natural forces and to increase their powers of healing and divination. ✨Qigong is one of the most cost-effective self-care methods in the world. SUN-GAZING is an ancient ritual. 🌞It is a safe practice to do during the first 15-30 mins after sunrise or before sunset!
