This piece is aimed at glorifying Africa and it's beauty.

It's one of the first pieces I ever wrote and I've held it dearly all these years.

Over the weekend, I had the unique opportunity to perform a poem titled "Dear Innovator" at the grand event of the Silicon Mountain conference 2022.

This was one of those performances that stuck with me because people didn't only snap their fingers or walk up to me to say how they enjoyed the performance but many expressed particular interest in the the messages they picked from the piece.

Once again, is hosting the biggest poetry event in Cameroon tagged Word Splash Poetry Festival.

This even will run for two days with a creative conversation on Day 1 (Fayaside Evening) and the grand concert the next day.

This time, I am not performing on stage but rather, curating the event.

We believe this is going to be mighty.

They just wakeup and post without a plan or anything.

You are lazy.

You are not serious about your life.

When your eye go clear about thing wey you really want, you go sell wey no man nova talk anything.

Constantly depending on motivation to do something shows you don't have enough drive inside.

I'm not going to be the one to tell you lessons from Elon Musk today.

Someone met me while on a virtual meeting with one of my ghost writing clients and was stunned.

"Why don't you advertise this service more on social media?" She asked.

"Because my audience on Facebook isn't the right market for this service" I told her.

I've had people ask me this question anytime they realize how seriously I do ghost writing in the background.

Truth is, I have been so many things on this space over the years and was able to find what works for me and my audience.

Being so many things doesn't help that much eh, it is always a process of sieving till you find the right thing.

I won't post here for the sake of posting. I won't take time marketing a product to an audience that doesn't need it or can't afford it.

Rather, I pick the product that works for this audience and focus on building it to the best while doing all other things at the background.

Social media is not just about bringing people together. It is understanding these people and serving them the value they need.

Don't say people are not appreciating nor buying your product when the truth is, you're marketing to the wrong people.

And words to heal

Yet claim to help
My head is a madhouse
I want to be free but
Who do I hear?
Who do I trust?
Tell them to STOP

They never say who sent them
And why they came
They speak so loud I can't even hear myself
It use to be fun
To try to choose
But not anymore

My head is blocked
My eyes can't see

Love, light, death pain, hope, misery

Africa👍

People will fail promises like boys break hearts

If you haven't had more than 2heartbreaks in your life, go and ask someone to explain to you how it feels so that you understand this post😃

When you start a business/brand, the excitement that comes is huge and almost everyone will look like a supporter.

They'll make promises, make you look like a billionaire before you start but very few of these promises get fulfilled.

They'll forget, walk away and move on to the next promises that will never get fulfilled.

You think this is me blaming these people? No, not at all.

I'm asking you to prepare your mind. Don't count chicks before they're hatched.

Have your strategy in place and don't depend on who said what.

They said it. They changed their mind. Weti you wan do now?

I'm saying this because I know how it feels.

It can ruin your plans and make you give too many excuses.

He promised me an office chair. I'll start working seriously when I get it.

My sister promised to buy me this or that machine.

Those people meant well.

You too can do well

Don't let these promises stop you

Build you brand. Do your best and keep moving.

Complaining won't add a dime to your pocket nor a single client to your company's list.

If tomorrow breaks and I'm no more
Do not drop a tear nor scream so loud because my soul will be journeying to peace and wouldn't want to look back to a sad face.
I lived my purpose,
A heart was touched
A soul found reason to be
And that's all it was meant to be.

Tomorrow, if I'm gone
Light candles
The scented ones and bid me farewell
As I cross this bar
That bring me to another beauty
The stillness needed for this transfer.

Tomorrow, if you wake up and my body be so cold
Do not raise a loud cry
Peace finally showed me way
And I'll watch the place
Till you choose to join me here.

How sweet will it be
To journey on without toil.
This is nothing at all
Just a slip to the next room
Nothing is lost

Why Should I pay for classes or books when almost everything is on the internet?

Someone asked me this as his reason for not paying for classes.

Let me break it down

It's true we exist in a world that has a lot of thing available on the internet.

Some people have been made to think google and YouTube are enough resuources for them to get whatever they want.

Is that true?

Firstly, the internet is like a rubbish bin. Everyone dumps everything that comes to their mind there.

Posting stuff to appear on Google isn't much of a thing like some of us think.

Anyone can sit in their homes and write whatever they think on their blogs.

You won't become an expert by reading blogs of people with no indepth knowledge nor experience but such people have filled the internet.

This now means that you've got a lot of work to do as far as sorting is concerned.

As a novice, you don't even know what to sort out because you're still learning so you don't know what is true or false yet and you might carry the wrong thing home.

That is where classes and books come in. Experts in the field get to gather all necessary material and you won't need to be sorting. You simply commit yourself to learning.

2. The internet doesn't have experience. Learn from people who have done what they are teaching you so you don't repeat their mistakes.

LOOK AT THESE DIFFERENT PEOPLE

"I got a deal to work as content creator for an NGO but I'm running out of content.
After writing for a month, I feel like I don't have anything to post again😥"

"I run a shoe business and I don't know how to create content around my business. I end up posting pictures of shoes everyday because I don't have anything to write.😥"

"My company kept me in control on communication. I have to be creating content for our social media pages but I find it hard. I don't know what to post everyday. It's draining me😥"

"I want to be able to use my timeline to sell my business but I don't know how to go about it. It's boring to be posting the same thing everyday😏."

"I was told I can make money through content creation but I am worried. Where will I take ideas to post every day and every week?😥"

You have to be present and doing the right thing consistently.

Social Media is noisier than any market you can imagine.

Everyone is saying something and you have very little control over what appears on your feeds.

This means everytime you log in, you're signing up to receiving all kinds of information: the good, the bad the ugly.

When people notice that you share value, they make an effort to connect with you.

People show you so much love and commitment when you're available but when you're off for just two days, they easily forget you exist and move on to the next person.

This means no one controls the market here.

There's no King of the jungle.

You have to constantly fight to maintain your place and consistency is that trick.

When you're angry, show up.

When you're motivated, show up

When clients are so many and it's getting overwhelming, still show up
