On her dying bed!
Ma mercy didn’t look frightened and everyone who was in the room that morning noticed !
She had a couple of things she wanted to do which seemed a little strange . Ahh yes ! I can remember She smiled like someone with the sense of fulfillment and turned to her daughter Estellah who was deeply heart broken but had to put up a forced smile.
“Estella why are you looking pale? smile in every circumstance that’s the hardest but the most powerful tool ! “
Uhhhmm! She took a deep breath and added, “whose the lady next to you ? “
Estella managing to hide her worry added “my very good friend mom”
Ma Mercy continued
“You girls are so pretty and young and smart but you have so much fear in your eyes and fear is one of the factors that can hinder you .
Be fearless! She went further , live life in the moment and be proud of yourself. Most importantly celebrate every little achievement and trust in God ! “
Everyone was a bit suprised at how happy Mama seemed and before my mind could process a lot of things from the advices she gave she spoke as if I’m the minds of everyone in the room.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m smiling ! Each time I open my eyes I see the gifts life has given me why will I not smile ! I see vibrant people who will celebrate my existence and continue my legacy . What more can I ask for ? ”
Suddenly Ma Mercy asked to be taken outside that she wants to see the sunshine and feel some fresh air . We assisted in putting her in her wheel chair and then we wheeled her outside and she closed her eyes with a smile on her face telling us not to disturb her quiet moments. This is can remember Estellah told me about her mom not always wanting to be disturbed and that’s how we took few steps behind her and room engaged in a conversation. The other family members had gone to meet the doctor as Estellah and I continued the chart a nurse asked us to take Mama inside that she is sleeping! We were relieved she had finally fallen asleep so she can catch some rest . It was 3pm and that is how she opened her eyes no more . Tears kept rolling down my cheeks and I watch the family in uncontrollable tears and I could feel the pain of loosing not only a mom but a lovely personality a strong woman !

A true life story dedicated to all whose lost a love one from cancer and everyone battling with a health challenge. Stay strong 💪

Hono! how they call me but my name is Honorine . I am a graduate from the University of Dschang first degree holder in JMC and Mass communication. I realised after spending years job hunting that you will never go hungry when you have a craft/hand work . So instead of sitting and waiting for jobs i went out there to learn this trade which i so much love. Being a student on apprenticeship in a tailoring work shop, i already have people giving me their dresses to patch and i have already started earning some commissions from it. My Boss gives me unusual designs and i Challange myself every day . I do much research and design dresses . I know that some day i will become a big designer .
I advice all young ladies, school drop outs , graduates , students ! Always learn a trade whatever the case and parents should send their children to start developing skills on holiday periods . Success has no particular route .

How i survived almost getting into depression earlier this year!
At the start of the year i quickly carved out a lot of plans and aspirations but the year welcomed me with a bank notice added to the battles I've been fighting and seemingly things are getting worse as i saw i immediately broke down. I got a lot of messages: that of people judging my actions for expressing my grief on here, people telling me to not give up but to keep working and hope for better days ahead ...

I looked at the sacrifices and especially those people that aren't all confortable have been making.
i looked at those ensuring that i succeed in every little way. I started counting my blessings, remembered others haven't got as much opportunities as i am and that a colleague didn't even make it to new year 😔.
I also remembered God has a reason for everything and we are often short sighted.
There's hope and i have the potentials to become who i want to be and to become better.
The weights on my shoulder might be heavier but i carry them with a smile i am glad to share my story that means I'm healing and i no longer worry much about tomorrow i just do my best and trust God.
I am stronger i am more confident i am blessed and all the things that comes my way only prepare me for greatness and i am here because of you.
Keep striving keep pushing keep smiling as long as there is life there is hope . Happy youth day Team Liya

I've seen a story of yours online and it hurts me deep cus I had a story of growing up till date not knowing my dad and my step dad divorced my mother and I have three siblings that I'm taking care of with my mother.

My greatest concern here is about your mental health cus I understand you must have or is affected mentally.
I'll first wish you don't put your mind into a lot of things.

Also I'll wish you present this case to any humanitarian organization or best of them MEDECIN DES MONDES and maybe they'll have something say about it.

I don't know where u stay but just find out if there is any Humanitariian organization around or human rights agency.

I really feel so bad that I may not be able to help financially.
