Wilson Malala and her team payed a visite to the CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRACY IN AFRICA.
The main reason for the visite was how they can contribute in peace building , human rights and democracy through arts ( spoken word and poetry).
"We had a splendid time with the officials as we dwell on issues affecting our community".

IF I BECOME THE PRESIDENT

If i become the president of the republic of Cameroon, the first thing i will do is to free all prisoners bellow the age of 30 .
Children are like white sheet of paper whatever touches it sticks on it .
Dear parents, i am sorry to say it but i must say it . You have failed in your duty in bringing up your kids . You are the architect of there demise .
In one of my humanitarian visit in the Buea central prison, i realized that close to 90 percent of prisoners are under the age of 30.
This is the active age Cameroon and any other nation needs to move it's economy foward . Sadly, they have been caged in that little conner call prison .
You exposed us to all forms of bad habits . From drugs, corruption and deviance programme s on tv and internet.
Enough of it .we can't be a sacrifice generation anymore. We must free ourselves to free the next generation.

MEET THE AWARD-WINNING SOCIAL ACTIVIST, CHARISMATIC PEACE AMBASSADOR, AND IMPACT-DRIVEN POET

Happy New Year, Thought Leaders.

I'm pleased to profile our first "Personal Brand of the Week" in the year 2024, in the person of the Cameroonian-borne prodigy, Wilson Malala.

Born on the 13th of March, 2013, Wilson Malala, is an embodiment of self-confidence, influence, and foresight.

She is the youngest spoken word activist in Cameroon.

Her high sense of curiosity, coupled with her passion for social change have further empowered her to use her innate gift of poetry to carve out a unique niche in socio-political and cultural activism.

The indefatigable peace-builder believes that, "...peace without justice is like [serving a meal of] Kwa-coco without Mbanga Soup, [or] Corn Fufu without Njama Njama, [or] Water Fufu without Eru...."

Malala is highly solicited in diverse spheres, not only because of her noble cause, but also her breathtaking theatrical performances which have always left the audience in awe wherever she has featured.

"We must work together and be the game-changers...", Malala underscored.

She is the Goodwill Ambassador of Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global.

She holds the record of being the youngest performer to have graced the prestigious, Word Splash National Poetry Festival.

Besides, she was privileged to benefit from the mentorship of Stage Life.

She has met with a cross section of dignitaries such as traditional rulers (e.g. His Royal Majesty, Chief Dr. Robert Esoka Mbella Endeley, paramount ruler of Buea); artistes (e.g. Mola Mongombe); education stakeholders (e.g. Mr. Njie Kale, Education Secretary of The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC)); etc.

She has performed at the South West Chiefs Conference, the Coronation of the Paramount Ruler of Buea, the graduation ceremony of the PCC Peace Office, the Fako Women's Conference, and at the World Environment Day 2023.

Likewise, Malala has been guest on Prime Hour, on My Media Prime TV (Cameroon's most watched Programme).

Her spoken word poetry has also targeted global icons such as: Francis N'Gannou of Cameroon, President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria, etc. to pass-on a message of resilience, and solicit for peaceful coexistence, respectively.

"Poetry is a faster and softer way to send across information" Wilson Malala stated.

Malala so far has a wide range of recognitions or accolades from reputable organs, viz:

- On the 2nd of December 2022, she won a Golden award as the youngest and best environmental advocate, organised by the ARK Project (REHABET),

- She was the runner-up at, The poetry for Peace Competition,

- In 2021, she emerged 3rd at The Kate Orgorg Poetry Competition, with a poem titled "A Priceless Peace", etc.

It is worth mentioning that, Malala also benefits from the close mentorship and coaching of his very dynamic, loving, and supportive father, Mr. Efokoa Wilson Njonje.
