PROCEDURE TO OBTAIN ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS & ATTESTATIONS:
Academic Transcripts are issued once and for all. Each time you wanna use them, you have to go back to school with photo copies and originals for the photocopies to be certified by the Director of academic Affairs. Never give out your original documents to any school or employer. To obtain your attestation of completion of course or transcripts follow the following steps:
1. Pay for the transcripts to the Bursar II on campus at main campus at mile 7 Nkwen, (4,000FCFA for level I & II and 1000FCA for attestation),
2. Collect an application form from the same Bursar II and fill,
3. Collect a Clearance form from the same Bursar II, and let the competent authorities sign that you are not owing anything,
4. Submit the application, and Clearance form to the Bursar II or Dean of your School, then the documents will be established,
5. It will serve time and stress if you come alone with proof of payment of all fees, if not it will take time for the bursar to go through the archives to verify if you paid all fees. This may take days, especially when U graduated several years back,
7. Make sure you apply for your documents well ahead of time of use. It takes minimum a week for academic documents to be established,
8. Some schools and employers request that your documents must be sent to them directly NPB in a sealed envelope. Take note that because of fraud, forgery and other illicit acts noticed, NPB will henceforth not seal such documents for the concerned to send. The documents will be sealed and sent directly by NPB at the cost of the applicant. Contact the competent authorities,
9. NPB issues testimonial of English language proficiency, a fee maybe charged,
10. Recommendation letters for admissions in other institutions are issued by lecturers who taught you and not administrators,
11. You are advised that when you complete either HND or Degree programmes, make sure you collect your transcripts immediately. Don’t go and away and stay for years before coming for them.
12. The affiliated University dues of 55,000FCFA is not paid to the bursar. Pay directly into the school bank account and obtain a receipt and present in school,
13. The cost of obtaining HND transcripts is 4000FCFA; if it is only for one academic year then you will pay 2000FCFA. Degree transcripts issued by UB, or UBa, or UDs or KNUST are not to be paid for, because they were already paid for as part of the affiliated University dues, but if you request for an internal degree transcripts to be issued by NPB it will cost 5000FCFA,
14. Certification or authentication of academic documents cost a thousand (1000) francs, paid to Bursar II on main campus at mile 7 Nkwen,
15. Academic documents can only be collected by the owners. If someone else has to collect the said documents for you, then you must give that person an authorization signed by a Commissioner of Police or a Bailiff, or Public Notary,
