In the early hours of the day, some royal messengers made an official welcome ceremony for the close collaborators of the fon all the way from Nso. The team, led by Shufaay Kibe'ey and the royal page, Shey Sam met with the powerful delegation from Nso at Ngay Nso' in Simboc.

At the conclave, everyone rose to their feet as custom demands to hear the royal message. The Fon welcomed his collaborators and heads of institutions present and thanked them for coming. He expressed joy for all the sacrifices they made to ensure that this tooy fulfils all customary requirements. He told the delegation that He has an open heart and mind and readily would exchange with them on the pressure issues of the land when the time comes.

He asked that they enjoy their stay and provided food and drink for their reception.

Shufaay Ndzendzev, the closest in rank to the fon, also referred to as the Traditional Prime Minister is the leader of the delegation from home closely assisted by Shufaay Yuwar. He lead the team this morning to salute the organising committee and has expressed gratitude for the great work done so far.

Shufaay reiterated that Nso must work tirelessly to stand as one with the fon. He expressed his gratitude for the landmarks registered by Nsobati Yaounde in keeping wirfon in Yaounde and for the beautiful Ngay Nso that hosts tomorrow's Tooy.

He ended by saying that the gods are with Nso and that tomorrow's Tooy will be a great success.

In less than 24 hours, the Paramount fon of Nso will be delivering a special royal message to all of Nso at Ngay Nso, Simboc.

Here, we share images of the lords of the land, leaders of traditional institutions who've come all the way from home to answer present at the Fon's call.

The delegation has been received and now communing with the Nso community in Yaounde ahead of the historic Tooy Fon.

Nso unite with their Fon

The people of Nso in Bui Division shall heed to the call, (Tooy Fon), of their leader FON SEHM MBINGLO the first in Yaounde, on Sunday November 28, 2021. The people will assemble in the cultural hall beginning at 8.00am to take part in traditional dances, leading to the official opening at 12.00pm. The event, considered in the Nso tradition as a very important invitation of the Fon in the Palace, shall take place at the Nsobahti cultural hall at Simbock, Yaounde. Here the Nso people consider that wherever the Fon sits, he is in the Nso palace. The theme for this event is, “Preserving the Royal throne, Our Treasure”.
Meantime, other media outlets have been set up for the message to reach as many as possible in Nso and elsewhere. Given the current security challenges that even threaten the traditional institutions in Nso, given the need for peace and unity in Nso, Manjong houses, Presidents of village development associations from Nso, church leaders and parents should endeavour to get the Fon’s message to be given in Yaounde, for onward sharing.
