When evaluating new suppliers, one of the most important criteria for supply chain managers is a company's quality control department. For the traditional machining industry, there are a few simple reference standards. First, whether to obtain ISO9001 certificate or other equivalent gold content of the industry certificate, such as IATF16949(automotive industry) and ISO13485 (medical industry); Second, the quantity and type of quality inspection equipment. If you have CMM equipment, this shows the strength of a company from the side.Small companies may not spend millions dollors on a CMM machine; Thirdly, the annual investment in quality control equipment accounts for 15%-20% of the company's profits. This can show how much a company attaches importance to quality control.
