ISASC Parent College Workshop: Assessment in the MYP and DP
As adults, we've all been to school, but very few of us have been a student at an lB school- how we were taught and assessed during our time asstudents varies immensely from what our childrerare experiencing as students at ISA Science City. Therefore, we invite parents to join this informative session to learn more about the assessment principles and practices of IB MYP and DP.

相信作为家长，都经历过读书时期,但很少有人在IB学校当过学生,家长们经历的教学模式和评估方式,与现在的学生在爱莎科学城正在经历有着迥然不同的差异。因此,我们邀请家长们参加本期家长课堂,深入了解IB MYP和DP的评估原则及实践。

ISASC Grade 1 students explored the concepts of goods and services and their significance in both local communities and the global market. They participated in engaging activities such as persuasive writing and creating visual materials like posters and pamphlets, and they opened their own Mini-Market at school to raise funds to support homeless animals, inviting teachers, parents, and classmates to join them.This experience not only allowed them to apply their knowledge but also fostered a sense of empathy and community involvement.

爱莎科学城一年级学生们在新的单元学习中探索了商品和服务的概念及其在当地社区和全球市场中的意义。在学习过程中参与了不同的活动，如说服性写作、制作海报和小册子等，并在学校开设了自己的市集，邀请老师，家长和同学一起为无家可归的动物募捐。这次经历不仅让他们运用所学知识，还培养了他们的同理心和社区参与意识。

ISASC PY Assembly | 爱莎科学城小学集会
The Friday Primary School Assemblies, held regularly every week, not only give students a stage to show off and an opportunity for cross-curricular learning, but also strengthen the channels of communication between home and school, and are an important embodiment of ISA's philosophy of Holistic Education!
每周定期举行的周五小学集会，不仅给予学生展示的舞台和跨学科学习的机会，加强了家校沟通的渠道，更是爱莎全人教育理念的重要体现！

🎉ISASC Winter Celebration & Pillar Day ｜爱莎科学城冬季庆祝活动&支柱日
The EY and PY held winter celebrations with gingerbread men, tree decorating, painting, singing and more, while the SY held Pillar Day, a day of extra-curricular activities centred around the four IB pillars (Arts, Academics, Service and Sports), such as a baking class, video production and archery games. Looking forward to the new year！
幼儿园和小学都举办了冬季庆祝活动，有手工制作姜饼人，圣诞树装饰，绘画，唱歌等等，中学则开展了“支柱日”，是围绕学校的四大 IB 支柱（艺术、学术、服务和体育）而安排的一天课外活动，比如烘焙课，绿幕视频制作和射箭游戏等，学生们度过了充实的一天，在假期结束后也能元气满满迎接新的一年！

🌍爱莎科学城幼儿园大班“太空奇观”展览
In the unit of inquiry "How The World Works," the ISASC EY4 students explored the fascinating topic of celestial bodies and space phenomena. They implemented this newfound knowledge to create information posters and models to showcase their learning journey in the "Wonders of Space" exhibition. This celebratory event was attended by parents and other members of our school community.
在“世界如何运作”的调查单元中，爱莎科学城EY4 的学生探索了天体和空间现象的话题，还制作了海报和模型，并在“太空奇观”展览中向家长和社区其他成员展示了他们的学习历程，这不仅可以增强孩子敢于表达的自信心，同时也是对家长们的一场学习汇报！

🎄SY Assembly ｜爱莎科学城2023年最后一次中学集会
This morning ISASC organised the last SY assembly of this year, which not only gave encouragement and prizes to students, but also included a surprise gift-giving session for the upcoming Christmas!
今天上午科学城举办了今年最后一次中学集会，不仅对表现优异的学生们给予鼓励和颁奖，还为即将到来的圣诞节准备了惊喜礼品赠送环节，让学生们为自己的努力奋斗感到骄傲和自豪的同时，也带来了圣诞的节日气息！

🎉Tonight was the ISA Science City's BBQ-themed HOS Dinner, where the teachers, boarding team and students enjoyed a delicious meal while promoting a deeper understanding of each other and strengthening the collective cohesion of the ISA community!
今晚是爱莎科学城的烧烤主题校长晚宴，校长、老师、寄宿团队与寄宿学生共进晚餐，在享用美味佳肴的同时也促进了加深了对彼此的了解，增强了爱莎大社区的集体凝聚力！

Yesterday ISA Science City Grade1 went on a Field Trip to the Fire Station and the Metro Museum. Teachers took the classroom outdoors to explore how different communities work together through different roles and responsibilities!
昨天爱莎科学城一年级学生们去消防站和地铁博物馆进行了研学活动。老师们将课堂搬到了户外，探索不同的社区如何通过不同的角色和责任进行合作！

🏃ISASC SY Camping｜爱莎科学城中学生户外研学之旅
During this trip students experienced camping, surfing, rock climbing, hiking, tea picking, field trips to environmental systems and science classes, cave exploration and other activities.
这次旅程的目的地有阳山、英德、阳朔、清远、三亚等地，中学生们体验了露营、冲浪、攀岩、徒步、采茶、环境系统与科学课的实地考察、洞穴探险等等活动，户外研学与书本教育相结合的意义就是让学生们在自然的户外环境中度过快乐的学习时光，在有趣的互动、有爱的团体中学会自我成长提升、合作交流、发现探索，这就是体验式教育的魅力！

Today, the G4 students of ISA Science City invited their parents and teachers to attend a renewable energy themed exhibition and introduced their understanding of renewable energy, the process of making models, and their thoughts on current environmental issues.
👍The exhibition was very interactive and allowed parents to have a closer look at the school's teaching philosophy and outstanding student achievements !

今天，科学城四年级的学生们邀请家长和老师参加了一场以可再生能源为主题的成果展，并向大家介绍了他们对可再生能源的理解，亲手制作模型的过程，以及发表了对现今环境问题的想法。
