Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Installation

The vacuum pump must be installed in a place with a clean environment and dry air. The room temperature should be between 5-40°C. The large pump must be bolted to a solid cement foundation.

Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Working Principle

Rotary vane vacuum pumps are mostly medium and small vacuum pumps.
There are two types of rotary vane vacuum pumps: single stage rotary vane vacuum pumps and two stage rotary vane vacuum pumps. The so called two stage rotary vane vacuum pump is to connect two single-stage pumps in series in structure. Generally, two-stage vacuum pumps can reach more higher vacuum degree.

The relationship between the pumping speed of the rotary vane vacuum pump and the inlet pressure is stipulated as follows: when the inlet pressure is 1333Pa, 1.33Pa and 1.33×10-1(Pa), the pumping speed shall not be lower than 95%, 50% and 20% of the nominal pumping speed of the pump respectively.

The two-stage pump consists of two single-stage pumps connected in series. When working, the pumped gas first enters the high vacuum level through the suction tube. When the suction gas pressure is high, part of the gas is discharged by the exhaust valve 2, and the other part of the gas is discharged by the exhaust valve 1 through the low vacuum stage. When the suction gas pressure is low, although it is compressed by the high vacuum stage, the exhaust valve 2 cannot be opened to exhaust. It can only be compressed through the low vacuum pole and discharged by the exhaust valve 1.

Structure

The rotor is eccentrically inserted into the stator cavity. There are two vanes in the rotor slot, and the vane spring is placed between the two vanes. The intake and exhaust ports on the stator are separated into two parts by the rotor and the vane.

When the rotor rotates in the stator cavity, under the combined action of the spring tension and its own centrifugal force, the end of the rotor slides against the inner wall of the pump cavity, periodically expanding the inner volume of the cavity on the inlet side and sucking in gas at the same time.
